Collab Review – Hello Kitty World

Even with the new set of uevos, the Hello Kitty REM is still unimpressive. While Tamadrapurin and Valkitty are quite strong, they aren’t amazing enough to offset the fairly useless set of silver eggs. Roll with caution.

Gold Eggs

Please remember that grades are given relative to monsters of the same rarity.

TAMADRApurin – B
2089 - TAMADRApurin A La Mode
Pros
  • Great farming lead
  • Passable light row sub
  • Damage enhance is good but overrated
  • Unbindable
Cons
  • Lacks type synergy in light (physical)
  • No skill up fodder
Notes
The one strength of this REM’s gold eggs is their viability as farming leads. Tamadrapurin, in particular, gives a flat 3.5x ATK bonus to everything and the 50% RCV reduction isn’t much of a drawback when farming. Perhaps his biggest weakness as a lead has been addressed with the best friend system, allowing unlimited access to a friend lead that would otherwise be too scarce to be practical for farming.
I don’t particularly like Tamadrapurin as a sub. The flexibility of his active, giving 2x ATK to light for one turn, is severely constrained by his physical typing as it limits the teams he can be on. The teams that immediately come to mind are Sun Wukong, Awoken Venus and DQXQ. While Tamadrapurin is quite good there, he isn’t critical nor does he bring any abilities that can’t be emulated elsewhere.

Valkitty – B
2090 - Princess Valkitty Heart
Pros
  • Great farming lead
  • Good light row sub
  • The best light delay available to NA
  • Light-healer synergy
  • Unbindable
Cons
  • No skill up fodder
Notes
Since the last time NA got the Hello Kitty collab, the viability of Valkitty’s leader skill has increased significantly. She’s still limited to leading farm teams, but the availability of Rei Sirius and Pulseneedle means she can fill in for Superman in the Rei system.
I like Valkitty as a sub better than Tamadrapurin. Delays have regained relevancy as of late, particularly when dealing with bosses that have the resolve skill. Her healer type lends itself to better synergy in light. The autoheals are also nice on Awoken Venus teams trying to take on no-RCV dungeons like Challenge Dungeon Lv8.

Silver Eggs

Please remember that grades are given relative to monsters of the same rarity.

Hello Kitty – C
2086 - Hello Kitty & Tyrannos
Pros
  • Fine low cost lead
  • Can now skill up through uevo dupes
Cons
  • Balanced damage enhance is useless in fire
Notes
As with many collab silver eggs, Hello Kitty is a good low cost lead. While she’s not healer or physical, I’d imagine she’d be good to pair with Guan Yinping to take on the mostly wood low cost descendeds, forming a 2/4/2 team. Outside of that, Hello Kitty has very few uses, mainly because fire’s balanced support is miserable. However, if for some reason fire gets balanced support in the future a 1.5x ATK bonus on a 6-turn cooldown isn’t too bad.

Kerokerokeroppi – D
2087 - Kerokero Keroppi & Plesios
Pros
  • Usable low cost lead
  • Can now skill up through uevo dupes
Cons
  • Drain life is one of the worst actives in the game
Notes
Perhaps the worst roll in the entire REM. He’s usable as a low cost lead, but considering low cost descendeds are wood-dominated a water lead isn’t the best choice. The active is the final nail in the coffin as a weak drain is useless, even on a 3-turn cooldown.

My Melody – B
2088 - My Melody & Brachys
Pros
  • Usable low cost lead
  • Makes a reasonable lead pair with Verdandi
  • The best active of the silver eggs
  • Awakenings fit wood’s TPA meta well
  • Can now skill up through uevo dupes
Cons
  • None, considering it’s a silver egg
Notes
My Melody is the strongest silver egg in the REM by far, but that’s not saying too much. Unlike Valkitty with light, wood has a decent selection of delays; albeit they are all mediocre. Zhang Fei and ForestBahn  are her closest comparisons, with none of the bunch particularly standing out from the rest.
Her uevo has potential as a lead when paired with Verdandi, giving that team a much needed RCV boost when it doesn’t need the HP. Melody is slightly better than G/G Freyja in this regard, providing an extra 0.5x ATK and having more relevant awakenings.
For what it’s worth, I’ll likely be skilling one up through uevo dupes to serve as a situational sub on my Verdandi team.

Cinnamoroll – C-
1161 - Angel Cinnamon
Pros
  • Usable low cost lead
  • Light-healer synergy
  • Double heartmaker
Cons
  • Completely overshadowed by Fuu
Notes
Cinnamoroll isn’t horrible as a heartmaker, but she is completely overshadowed by another silver egg: Fuu.

Bad Badtz-Maru – D+
1157 - Pierdra Badtz-Maru
Pros
  • Usable low cost lead
Cons
Notes
Sadly, there is very little use for Bad Badtz-Maru outside of being a potential Draggie lead. His one good awakening, a dark row, has very little synergy with a board reshuffle.

Kuromi – C
1159 - Lilith Kuromi
Pros
  • Usable low cost lead
  • Poor main’s Shiva
  • Time extend awakening
Cons
Notes
Of the light and dark silver eggs, Kuromi probably has the most use, doing a decent Shiva imitation for devil teams. Time extends are quite common now, but it’s still worth noting that she has one.

Conclusion

It’s difficult to accurately judge the relative quality of collab REMs on NA since we get so few, but outside of the outdated Eva collab, Hello Kitty is likely the worst. You’re almost certainly better served saving your stones as our next godfest will likely feature the new godfest exclusives. If you must roll in a collab, we’re likely to get the updated Batman collab near the end of the month. However, the Tamadrapurin and Valkitty uevos are pretty sweet so I wouldn’t blame you for trying your luck.
