This godfest is a good one for leaders, but not so much for subs. While there’s a lot of upside in the gods with awoken uevos, there’s also a horrible downside: Norse is one of the worst pantheons in the game and Indian 2 just isn’t very good. Egypt 1 and Indian 1 are good enough reason to roll regardless, just be aware.

You noticed correctly, this is the second godfest in a row with Egypt 1; excluding the PCGF, of course, but that also featured most of the Egyptian gods. Could this be a sign that we’re getting the awoken Egyptians soon? I sure hope so.

Oh, right. The new godfest exclusives. All of them, Gadius in particular, are quite popular and good, but they don’t strike me as all that appealing, mainly because the slew of new awoken gods are just so good. There’s not much to complain about: they all have a full board change with good awakenings and powerful leader skills; if you’ve been waiting and have the subs, have at them.

Now that the entire Egypt 1 pantheon has been awoken, every god within it is a top-tier lead. This includes Isis who requires a bit more work to get the ungodly damage numbers that the others get. They’ve also become usable subs due to their extra awakenings and marginally useful actives. Isis once again stands out, except this time for the better. She’s definitely the best sub of the bunch.

The Norse shares the distinction with Japanese 1 of being the worst pantheons in the game. The Norse are my choice for the pantheon that most needs awoken forms since Japanese 1 at least has Awoken Kagutsuchi and the rest are useful subs. The Norse are still good on row teams, but even if that’s the case, they’re going to be a disappointment if you roll them.

Indian 1 quickly went from one of the worst to one of the best pantheons in the game. That’s what awoken uevos will do for you, I guess. Most already know Awoken Shiva, Lakshmi and Parvati are nuts, but don’t forget that Indra and Vritra are quite good too.

I hate the Indian 2 pantheon. They are horrible subs and even worse as dupes. The raw power of the Krishna and Sarasvati uevos gives the pantheon a substantial boost in my ratings. This leads me to believe I need to add a “bad as dupe” criterion to my spreadsheet to help balance things.

  1. I agree with this analysis wholeheartedly, solid assessments overall. Isis and Shiva being the only ones with total grades of A is interesting. Poor Norse… never get any love… I betcha they get OP A.Evos. Lastly, I would say that adding a dupe grade would be a good idea, especially with system teams coming out. Previously having 4 Meimei was just a waste, but now…

I hope they give Karin similar treatment, she’s the only one I have 4 of…

    • Thanks for the input. I was surprised myself that only Isis and Shiva got overall A grades. There are very few pantheon gods that are great as both leaders and subs, allowing godfest exclusives to occupy much of the A space.

Now that I’m investing in water, I hope Karin gets a nice awoken uevo too. I really love her design so I’m looking forward to her art just as much.
