  1. Nice man, I made 1.7% and am happy with that. I think I will sit on it until the 13th to make sure I’m well in the top 10%.

  2. Lol, puts my 68% to shame! 😛

Did NOT realize how much HP the predras had, so instead of using an active to try to burst, I tried pinging them. Then I didn’t realize how much damage they did, so I had to combo hard to heal, and missed my 5 match, and so on… THEN, I missed my combo on Vulcan, and had to stall until I could burst him down. Finished with 8 seconds left XD

Next time, bringing ra as a sub to zap the predras. I thought the penalty would be MUCH more severe, I can take a 5K hit on my score if by doing so I can gain 100K 😛

      • Just gave it another go. Nuked 2, bumbled on the ninja floor after missing my combo in the dark, and had to stop and consider my move on Zeus. 160ish seconds, 85K points, 25%. Much better, but still gonna keep at it. My goal is at least 20%, since I need water piis right now, and have too many wood ones. (More would be nice, but not gonna stress over it too much.) I want one SOLID run, where I don’t bumble at all and can quickly hit 5 combos on zeus, and I’ll call it even.

  3. Thank you for posting this, though in pretty much the same breath I wish it wasnt so public LOL. That said, ended up rushing it with raoh and ronia since I didnt have ilm. either way got 3%, hopefully that sticks.

  4. Dang, is it all whales running push button and ShivaDra teams ranking in the top percentiles? Non-IAPers with normal combo and rainbow teams can’t even be competitive with those speed scores.

    • not sure this refutes your argument any…. but I have seen (and gotten) <3% scores from yomi dragon teams, cloud systems, and raoh teams (backed by either scarlet, rodin, or just chaining orb changers).

IN THEORY… you can relatively easily pull off <5% with the hero pantheon teams assuming you have decent subs. Again, literally everything is: make the highest single hit minimum fall team u can with a team with very easy activations at ~3.5x or higher.

      • YomiDra sure can clear this dungeon fast but most non/light IAP players don’t have the MP to afford one, or a Cloud system, or even one Raoh. Just my two cents. I am saving up my stones for godfests and other things, I simply don’t have the stones to allot to special REM and given the low gold egg rate from collab REM if I had rolled the 10 stones I had to FoTNS or FF then would I have gotten Cloud or Raoh? Probs not. And I can’t just buy more.

Just as you said, it’s all theory. I’m forced to use the only team I have any real investment in, as my Kagutsuchi still isn’t even Awoken and my Amaterasu team is the only team I’ve +egged and max skilled. It’s a suboptimal team to rack up points, and the three runs I attempted, I failed miserably in terms of ranking, only getting 50.7% (dammit) because of the fact that the jammer skyfall ruined my day, resulting in light orbs not appearing for as many as 6 turns in a row, and without any more time extends my combo count can’t get much higher than 6.

Of course us people who don’t spend money or spend very little shouldn’t be complaining in the first place–dungeons like these are supposed to be slanted in the favor of those who are either incredibly lucky or have spent money to actually support GH. It leaves me with a really sour taste in my mouth and has left me feeling really depressed over how I can’t seem to score higher despite my multiple attempts but at the end of the day, that’s the nature of the beast.

        • so just because I wanted to find out, I spam ran this a few times with a sorta “weaker” version of a pandora team: pandora, hanahime (max skilled) tengu d/d haku and lillith. Definitely was a little more luck involved, but completely possible to break top 10~20%. I think I did mostly 5 combos to kill. tengu was purely for a farmable skill boost sub.

        • I think it’s very reasonable to complain and feel disappointed in this specific case. True, the essence of something like this is pay-to-win (which is why I wasn’t thrilled about this new game mode since a direct p2w mode didn’t exist in this game until now), but I think they dropped the ball by not penalizing push button use to the point that it kills the run. This would at least give the perception that the playing field was a bit more even since “everyone can combo”. Even if the end result is still p2w since there will be some kind of optimal team, they should try everything in their power to enforce that perception of fairness. Seeing teams dominated by 5 6-stars and an awoken is really discouraging for other players.

It looks like future iterations of the dungeon will have a more level playing field due to restrictions like no actives or no awakenings, so we’ll see if things become a little more even.

          • Stopping the timer during the combo/damage phase of the game would encourage more real puzzling, too. And make it less prone for (un)fortunate skyfalls to negatively affect your run.

      • Yes, I think it’s more than possible to get into 5% or better if you know how to game the system. This push button stuff is stupid, but thankfully it looks like people that are doing it legit and put in the effort will be able to get into the top 10%.

        • For the record, I got my 1.7% with the popular 1 year ago LuBu/Ronia/Ronia/Ronia/Lilith/Ronia. Which I suppose is a whale team, but isn’t simply push button. I think I did 6 combo average, very quickly, with max damage around 15mil.

  5. Wish I had an Ilm, I have that entire team except Ilm. Quit rolling heavy for pantheons right before they came out. Still managed 101,000 with a Shivadra team.

  6. I only have two pushes on my team but I still managed to get 110k points and get in top 5%
Thank you for posting this or I would’ve never pressed buttons

  7. oh the woes of the noniap player… highest i’ll probably get is the top 40% which is pitiful simply because i just don’t have the luxury access to the teams that can rack up points the best…

in the meantime i will lay in bed and quietly gaze upon the 300K mp dragons with longing.

congratulations setsu! 0.2% that is ridiculous o.O

    • I think if you focus on time you can improve your score easily. Of course, that really depends on what teams you have, but I have to believe you can improve your score. I’ve seen a Verdandi team running Lilith for floor 2 and GZL for Zeus easily get a top 10% score. Their total combo was like 4 since they just matched one TPA for the trash floors.

      • I scored in the top 30 with verdandi and Lilith/gzl. I think I can score better if I focus on speed instead of combos. I figured combos would matter most, since that’s where skill is, but oh well.

  8. I was able to get 4.5% with an Awoken Bastet team, subbing in Awoken Ra to handle floor 2 (AVerdandi, AMeimei, and AVishnu for the remainder of the team). You can push your damage max on the floor against Hermes. So take heart, it doesn’t HAVE to be push-button to break the 10% mark! The key really is to just waste as little time as possible reading the board before you move.

As for the very upper tiers, though, I’m not even gonna try.

    • Yup, at first I tried many different non-push button teams and tried and improve my score, but there’s just no way to get around the time wasted from your attack animation. It’s players like me that resort to push button teams that are unfortunately skewing the curve.

      • If I had a keeper of rainbow I could try Awoken Shiva but unfortunately that will wait until next time. I use Amaterasu Lilith ChibiValk Sandalphon Da Qiao Amaterasu. I am like consistently orb trolled both on f1 and on Hermes or I get nervous and flub up my combos. I just need to try again and again until the stars align!

  9. With the news about RKali being REM-only, I went ahead and got myself a Shiva Dragon, instead, and I’m incredibly happy I did. He’s stellar at speed runs; I was able to get 120,966 points for 0.6% as of now. I’m feeling pretty comfortable there.

I only push-buttoned through the PreDras, myself, with an A.Ra blast. Skipping them is pretty well necessary in order to get a good score, I think.

  10. Anyone have idea on a non push button team that will comfortably get in 10%? I am maxing out at 107k score with A.Ra and my Rodin and Ilm are missing skill ups.

    • Wound up getting 4% (114k) with A.Bestcat, Liu Bei, Liu Bei, A.MeiMei, A.Ra, A.Bastet. Could probably push it a bit higher with the same team without Good enough. I didn’t realize ShivaDra was back around. I might have to pick him up, even though I want A.Dra and am tempted to see the next round of MP creep after these current dragons.

      • Wow so many typos there. haha. These comments need an edit function, even if it locks after a minute or something. I want Ra Dragon but may pick up Shiva Dragon anyway. Unfortunately most of my money spent in this game was well before they removed golemns from REM or had MP shop so I can’t go picking up all of them. 😉

  11. Feels exactly like Greater Rift fishing. Which means that come sunday you are going to see some intense skewing. I’m betting if you placed below the top 5% today you won’t be in the top 10% come sunday evening. I’m guessing top 2% + is the only safe range for best rewards as of today. Best to keep fishing, particularly come Sunday evening. (unless of course you got 0.2% like setsu -.-).

I realize this game has a financial cost that is not present in Diablo 3 which might discourage folks from fishing too much, but to be honest I doubt it.

    • I doubt it. I actually suspect that people in the top 5% will go up rather than down. Most people with the teams to hit higher than 5% are pretty hard core and already ran it. There would have to be more hard core players waiting to snipe results than semi-casuals who haven’t finished it yet but will soon. I don’t see that realistically being true. Anyone between 5% and 10% might be a bit at risk though from people like me who were sitting around 11% and pushed until they got back into 10%.

      • Well I hope you are right because my 7% last night was not even 10% this morning. I played until i got a 4.5% today and I plan on pushing even harder come sunday regardless of where I am. I’m betting there are a lot more folks like me (including it seems yourself) who will be gunning for a top 10% finish. I don’t think the number of new additions to the ranking dungeons will become so saturated as to push the top few even further. I think you are going to see a concentration at the top of folks who are finishing the dungeon in 100 seconds or less with > 5 combo averages and there will be so many in this range that only the top 2% as of today will actually be safe. I bet the difference between 10% and 15% will be a matter of less than a 1000 points come sunday.

RIght now folks are getting 115k ish to secure 5% and I really just do not see that score being competitive for the 10% cutoff on sunday. I’m guessing 117-120 is the safe range based on the 15ish runs i did today.

But who knows. My wallet and I certainly hope you are right.

        • Well, I am moving down but only a little. Still in the 4% range. 4.6% instead of 4% right now. Still think top 5% is probably safe but I hope I am right because I don’t want to run it any more. 🙂
