  1. My invade rate for Elia/Grisar was like 7/8 today.. while water latents have been like 0/12… dam RNG…

Seems like Yomi Dragon can really do everything haha

  2. Man, I never thought about it before, but orb spawning abilities are crazy OP in 5×4 dungeons… Kinda n odd quirk of the challenge I suppose. Rows are easier to make, but orbs to do so are harder to come by. Board changes now yield FAR less damage, 2 rows max, 3 TPA max, 6 combo max, 33% fewer orbs… I never really considered how reducing the board size affects so many teams 😛

Makes me wish that there were more to it than “Here’s a smaller board, knock yourself out.” Like, Wouldn’t it have been cool to get actives that scale with orb count? Or leads that are more powerful with less orbs? Or percentage based leads that work based on how many orbs are left on the board after your initial comboing, but extra damage for total combos. It’d be easier to use on 5×4, but have much higher max damage on 7×6. IDK, makes me wish that YamaP would stick with an idea long enough to make it good… 50/50 he abandons Co-Op as soon as he gets a new idea. :/

  3. Hey Setsu,

I’m a big fan of your blog although first time posting. I have a question. I just recently got enough points to buy and MP dragon, but I wasn’t sure if (1) should I buy one and (2) if so, which dragon would be best to buy (I assume Ra or Yomi). I wanted to see what your thoughts were. Padherder box linked below.

    Thanks!

    • so I only quickly skimmed your box, but it depends on your goals. If you purely want to run arena, yomi drag is probably your best bet since you are missing the second dkali (sorry forgot to check for indra and isis). Akechi is the most “nice” to have sub that you don’t have. Obv. 2 yomidra is better. If you want to farm quickly and easily, it seems like you have a good potential shiva dra team (urd and takeru stick out in my head with cao cao as well).

      • Thanks darkpaladin for taking some time to look through my box. My main goal is to try and clear arena next although a lot of teams could use a lot of plus eggs to help with that. I don’t have too much trouble with farming pretty quickly and easily using Sarasvati (who is pretty easy to farm with considering the max skilled subs I have for her although not as easy as a Shiva dragon would be of course). I do have an Indra and Isis although I still have to max skill the Indra (Isis is one away but I’ll be getting a bubpy soon).

        Thanks again!

    • 1) Probably not. Unless you’re a big spender, taking a wait-and-see approach with JP’s new MP Dragon series is the prudent choice. Having Ra and Sakuya means you don’t have to rush into a decision.

      2) It’s not clear, especially with Arena 2. I think you need to evaluate how much the Arena means to you, then research what kind of clears you can do. It looks like you’re pretty far off from an Arena team, though, since you’re lacking +eggs.

If I was you, I’d just sit on it for a while and gather more +eggs. If you want an MP Dragon just to make the game easier right now, go for it, but just know that it may not be the best choice for the future. As for which one, since you don’t have perfect teams for any of them, take your pick of Ra, Yomi or Neptune (who is gaining a lot of stock on JP due to Arena 2). No Ares or Uriel is a deal breaker for Shiva Dragon, imo.

      • Great, thanks Setsu. I figured I should probably wait too for the reasons you mentioned but it is nice to see that you agree because it has been tempting to get one of them. Appreciate the insight!

  4. Hey Setsu, I just discovered your blog a few days ago and I absolutely love it. I was wondering if you could give me some advice on what to do with regards to progression in the game. I’m rank 415, and have completed all available content in the game outside of ultimate arena. I do not IAP often, but I’ve probably spent roughly $500 over 700 days of gameplay. I have a Yomi dragon team that I could probably take into arena with more plus eggs and dark resist latents but I’m wondering if it’s worth it. We don’t have farmable dark resists yet and by the time we get them, arena 1 may already be gone.

Basically what I’m asking is this : Is it worth investing in a yomi dragon team for arena 2 before eschamali is even available, and if not, what should i be doing with my stones/stamina in the meantime?

Here is my padherder : https://www.padherder.com/user/DonZaloog/monsters/

A reply would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

    • The Yomi Dragon team translates well into an Awoken Lucifer team which is the current JP FotM. I don’t think anything invested in that team will be wasted if you look at it from that perspective.

Seems like you need to hit up 10x pretty hard, which should theoretically be in the next event. If you’re in on Yomi Dragon/Lucifer then you should probably try to roll for Eschamali, as daunting as that may sound.

  5. Hey setsu! Thanks for maintaining the blog it’s been a big help. Quick question, I’m at rank 149 and have none of the monsters featured in the upcoming directors choice carnival, should I consider rolling or saving up for another godfest?

    • I would strongly recommend against rolling. Both Valkyries and the Angel 2 pantheon are solid, but I can’t think of any team that considers any of them irreplaceable. At your rank, unless you’re heavy IAP, you almost certainly want to roll for maximum value, so I’d save up for a better godfest.

    • These carnivals are a lot better after the REM renewal, but I don’t think this one is very good. The Angels are still fairly poor, the Valks are still rare and the Guan Yus and Zhuge Liangs are outdated and pretty much useless. With the Steel Stars (Eschamali et al.) coming next godfest, you’re probably better served waiting. At rank 149 you’ll want to wait for a godfest that has the best value for your box.

  6. I shouldn’t have rolled on the Director’s Carnival…my desperation for a BValk or GValk (Astaroth </3) got the better of me (I have no Michael either… :s)

But then I rolled a Meimei #2 so the game has gently scolded me for my wrongs and is giving me a consolation prize. Bastet will be pleased. 11 stones on hand left, gonna dump them ALL into +egg farming.
