I’m not going to comment on any of the changes due to my break from PAD. I’ll eventually do it again, but for now I want to keep the cycles spent thinking about PAD to a minimum for a while.

Hi Setsu, I was wondering if the new Ra Dragon/Zeus Dragon and Yomi Dragon/Hera Dragon pairings have affected their standings in the tier list. On paper it seems like it would be so much better to have both HP and RCV boost (even with some weaker awoken skills). Yet the (ideal) team compositions on Game8/GameWith/etc seem to not take them into account.
I’m wondering if Yomi Dragon will ever rise up again to take on the hardest content now that she has a nice HP boost.

I’ve addressed this a few times before. In Yomi Dragon’s case specifically, the damage is much too poor in this day and age and a little HP isn’t going to help overcome that.

For RaDra, being SS since forever, adding a HP doesn’t really help him THAT much, especially with co-op being literally everything JP side, you seldom need to sacrifice the RCV for HP.
As for Yomidra, Setsu is right, the damage just isn’t there any more… For a non-row team, 36x is pretty low nowadays. I would say that YD is pretty much delegated to being an awesome sub at this point, and nothing short of an Uvo will save her.

Yeah, YomiDra was only put so highly on tier lists because she could farm Arena 1 better than anyone else in the game. Now, that isn’t as relevant, and she struggles with all of the very new content (Mech Hera/Zeus).

So, my quick opinions on the changes:
Aggregate changes: The meta is shifting away from tank teams again, and the demotions show it. Meanwhile, ADQXQ replaces Yuna as the 4 colors and hearts LS.
Game 8 changes: A+ didn’t exist last time, so they made it to bump down a few less powerful than S cards, and bump up a few more powerful than A cards. All in all, I feel that the changes aren’t that substantial.
Appmedia Changes: As anonymous said above, musical chairs indeed. You Yu up is fine,he’s been clearing some content recently. Not sure he’s on par with Orchid though… (scratch that, he IS NOT on par with orchid, so bump her up a tier, or him down.) He is DEFFINATELY a better leader than Yomidra though, so bump her down for pete’s sake. Putting Yomidra in the same category as Orchid is a JOKE. Nepdra down kinda makes sense. Orchid has redefined what an MP leader can be, and outclasses him in every way. PLUS, AS transfers have made his AS less mandatory for Arena and whatnot, so another mark against him. (Much better than Yomidra though.) DQXQ is powerful enough to be S. Yuna downgraded is reasonable because ADQXQ is basically Yuna 2.0. Sephiroth is basically KING of farming Mecha Hera/Zeus, so promotion is reasonable.Tank teams down is par for the course as the meta shifts. They’ll be back some day… GKali at S- is… silly. She’s a Lightning with a worse sub pool, I think… Haven’t actually compared subs for them lol. 😛 IDK, she’ll be out of the list next week due to musical chairs XD. Lastly, cloud is out. With all the “true” tank teams getting bumped down, cloud getting the boot is reasonable, especially since his overall damage output is lower than most tank teams. (90K HP is pretty darn nice however…)
So, in conclusion: Tank teams are out, Game 8 is fixing their list, and Appmedia NEEDS to fix their list. (I can’t let Yomidra being on par with Orchid, and ABOVE NepDra go… it’s just too preposterous…)

What are Xiang Mei’s optimal subs? I’m assuming herself x2, Gladius, and Michael. But given that 900k mp is a ton, the responsible version to make is utility sub (I.e. Red Riding Hood or Phoenix Rider), Gladius, and Michael x2.
Skill inheritance makes Arena look pretty easy now that you can strap A. Ra’s active on anyone’s back.

The resurgence of spike teams hits again! (EoTN summed that up nicely so I won’t ramble here)
However I am glad to see that tank teams were brought back to the limelight for a while, they had been out of favor for the longest time previously. And as it were, they’re still not completely out of the meta yet either. Arena 2 and Arena 3 may pass them by but Arena 1 still stands as clearable by many tank teams so that’s good enough for me right now huehuehue.
You Yu tempts me…but given some thoughts on him compared to Xiang Mei it’s still going to be a hold-off for now…
And when will JP release the rest of the Awoken 3K? Stop dragging your feet with these news of chibis dammit!

The lack of exciting news out of JP is another reason for my current disinterest in the game. Collabs, GFEs and special REMs are, for the most part, boring (and in the case of 6-star GFEs, discouraging).

Yeah, it was kinda inevitable though. Gotta power creep the current meta to get people to roll for the next meta. (Jammer Meta when? :P)
I agree that it was nice for tank teams to get a few days in the sun. They were relevant for… 4 months? There abouts at least. And that’s a good stretch. As it stands, the only content that is out of reach is Mecha Hera/Zeus, Arena 2/3, and the radar dragons, which sounds a lot worse than it actually is, since they can relatively easily clear/farm Arena 1, all the Mythical+ rushes, the mythical+ Rogue dungeons, and challenge dungeons, though TBH, IDK what’s up with them in the more recent JP challenges.
Norse/Dragonbound teams will be super easy teams for new players, that can grow with them from farmables to REM subs, all through the mid-late game, and 90% of the endgame as well, including “easily” farming endless piis from Arena 1. All in all, I’d say that was a pretty successful re-imagination! I’d say that AA1 Awokens will be the next resurgence of a “Tank Meta.” (And of course, Orchid carries the torch VERY well :D)
As far as You Yu goes, glass cannon at its finest. If I wasn’t about to go crazy and buy multiple Orchids, I’d be buying one of her, and one of him since blue is my primary color. He’s less consistent in harder content due to no defensive multipliers in his LS, but I’m starting to see endgame clears with him. Saw a Mecha Hera solo clear recently, so that’s a good start!
Ah yes, the Chibis. I’ll play devil’s advocate here: As a new player in JP, this machine is PURE VALUE. Chinese1 are OP subs on many, MANY teams, and getting their AS on a card with decent stats/awakenings is fantastic! Excluding Kirin of course, but she’s a pretty capable leader in her own right. As for the golds, al the new ones have great leader skills for how relatively easy they are to get. Ama is great for healers, Yomi is a great leader, Pandora is amazing for a new player, Isis and Bastet are great, etc. The row Norns are interesting, even o my NA account. Easier than getting a GFE if you want to transfer their skills. The 6*s are pretty darn nice as well, Chibi Ronia getting her LS buffed is great, chibi DMeta can actually be a potent leader now.
All that said, I’d rather have actual news than a bunch of chibis though 😀

Had a break til a month ago. And I think tank team like pandora will still very relevant in the long run.
Been experimenting a pandora with dc batmanx2, lu bu, yomidra, a pandora, and felt pretty solid. Need more fingers latent though. My puzzle skill need improvement.
It is almost a system, can farm well and also burst 30 million plus damage with lu bu active. Can one shot predras too. Almost never ran out of orbs. Atk and heal at the same time. I just wish they put the enhanced heart buff on a pandora as well to help the rcv.

Possible reasons:
1. He’s not as good as Yomi Dragon.
2. Yomi Dragon is out the door anyways.
3. The lists overlooked him/didn’t care/didn’t have enough time/etc.
4. Tier lists are stupid.
Probably a mix of all those reasons. Saying he’s as powerful as Yomi Dragon is a dangerous thing anyways. Just because the multipliers are the same doesn’t mean there aren’t significant differences between the two.

Nobunaga is an unbindable dark lead with 36X atk 2.25 RCV with rows i looked it that way
On paper with all thoose dark devil cards he should be able to deal with most of end game stuff.
He may have poor HP and no HP which limit his potential.
He is also orb hungry but so is pandora many other A and B tier cards.

Not sure if you’ve ever played a lead with no skill boosts, but it’s a terrible experience.
Weighted stats are not great; many leads are over 800 now with the Four Gentlemen almost hitting 1000.
No other lead on the list requires at least 8 of a single orb type; everyone scales much better.
Eclipsed by Pandora, especially since most of his strengths serve better as being a sub on her team rather than leading his own.
Not going to say he’s bad, but there’s plenty of reasons why he wouldn’t make any lists; some smaller than others, but reasons nonetheless. Give it some time to see if the meta/lists come around on him. Either way, if you think he’s good it shouldn’t matter if he’s on a list.
