Farming Zeus Dios Skill Ups

2948 - 超覚醒 Zeus DiosWith 9.1 likely coming soon, quite possibly with tonight’s maintenance, I wanted to familiarize myself with Zeus Dios farming teams. It’s not that difficult to throw together random teams to farm his skill up dungeons, but as I’m planning to max skill two more for the Awoken Liu Bei farming team, I may as well be efficient about it. After 9.1 brings the co-op everything update, there’ll be no more efficient way to do it than through co-op, if only for the half stamina bonus.

Acquiring skill ups through his descended seems to be the most time efficient way to farm. The main positive being that if you co-op, two of the five floors can be buttoned (the second floor Griffin and third floor Archangel) and the rest can be taken care of with full-board swipes. The largest hurdles are dealing with the preemptive strikes, especially if you’re running Goemon, but for the most part those can be dealt with with shields like Raphael.

As for the alternatives, the main problem with the Bowl Dragon dungeon is that it’s two floors longer and has the annoying, high-defense Mug Dragons as random spawns, raising the team building requirements. Hera Beorc is of a similar difficulty, but doesn’t have as many good button options, requires 100% SBR and Beorc’s light absorb can be annoying if you want to lead with something like Goemon. God Rush is the final alternative and is a good option for those that want better rank EXP or want to skill up other cards found in the dungeon.

As for actual teams, YouTube saves the day:

This gist of this video is that the entire team is farmable. I doubt many players would have these cards just sitting around, but for those that don’t, the Tengus and Goemons will be a good investment as they’ll likely see use in future co-op farming teams. The team has a total of 21 skill boosts, meaning you don’t have to skill up most of the cards. The Goemons and Mugtea (Shaitan skill up fodder, 100% wood resist for three turns) don’t need any. However, the Chinbowdra (Raphael skill up fodder) needs at least two.

This team makes use of the shared skill boosts to utilize Zeromus for the button portions of the run. The upside of this team is you don’t have to fool around with shields, making it a bit quicker and less error prone as you won’t die by forgetting to activate the correct shields at the right time. The downside is your Zeromuses need a certain amount of ATK +eggs to work. However, if you’re serious about co-op farming in the future, the +egg investment might be worth it.

This team isn’t all that great, but it demonstrates two things. First, the more common Goemon + Vritra combo can be used in place of the Zeromuses or other more obscure nukes to take care of floors two and three. The other, more important point, is that a variety of different subs can be used to achieve the same effect, even if it’s less time efficient.

So in the end, there wasn’t all that much to learn as team building is straightforward. Regardless, I’m going to farm Zeus Dios the moment we get both his descended and the co-op everything update. I can’t wait for Awoken Liu Bei to hit NA and I’m planning to throw together a short post about his farming teams in the future.

  1. Lol, I like that Zeromus video. I’m sure that’s why I have one max skilled >_>

Also can’t wait for Awoken Liu Bei to come over. I’ll also have to farm some Zeus Dios….and find some people to co-op with. >_>

  2. Nice ideas for farming teams.
I almost finished my fourth one at the recent challenge(?) dungeons which I did with Cloud System. Also quite brainless and could tank Leilan rage hit, Hera and Zeus Dios pre-emptives in a row in a worst case.

  3. You’re max-skilling them all for the heck of it, right? Or is there a use for more than one max-skill Dios?

  4. Hey Setsu, ive been reading your blog for a bit and I was wondering if you’ll do a review of the wedding REM. If you aren’t can I get some ideas on whether or not its a good idea to roll? I’d really like to get Bastet, Eschamali, or Akechi. Maybe Ra too even though I primarily use Awoken Ra anyway, it would just be nice to have a sexier version of him. I’m just concerned that its going to be a silver flood like with PAD Academy, even though silvers like Izanami and Echidna seem decent

    • I’m working on it right now. It’s actually taking a bit longer than usual. A few of the cards are pretty strong (read: Eschamali), but don’t really have any obvious uses right now so the research is taking a bit longer. If not today or tomorrow, then hopefully Saturday.

      • I was going to ask this too, good to hear you’re working on it, I really appreciate all the collab rem stuff you do (although the answer is almost always don’t roll). Thanks for your blog!

        • Yeah, the answer is still don’t roll, but this is probably as good as a special REM is ever going to be–if you run light teams.

  5. You might have answered this elsewhere, so sorry if this is repetitive, but what’s with all the “:^)” faces you’ve been throwing around lately?

  6. Do you think there is much use getting a few dios’ made on a second account that doesn’t have liu bei? I was hoping I could self co-op, but I guess him as a leader requires a hit first (or self nuke), but then there’s a chance to get bound etc

    • If you have a suicide active like Lu Bu or Durga on your main account, you could always inherit that. The main issue would then become heart skyfalls which would heal you to full with the on skill use multiplier.

    • As stated, you can use suicide skills to get started, but there’s a lot of things you have to work around, lowering run consistency. imo inconsistent farming isn’t really farming, so I don’t think it’s worth it.

  7. i think i can get this a small amount faster, only matching at all on the hera floor.

This relies on having highly specific subs like zeromus, kagato, kefka, and multiple zeras, but ill try and show how it works next time dios comes around
