This is a general help thread, so please feel free to ask questions on just about anything. Questions don’t have to be limited to the godfest and can include topics such as your teams, box and progress in general.

This godfest features only a single pantheon each day, but has GFEs at 4x rates (non-featured GFEs at 1x). It also introduces Ronove and Gremory. There is a wood gala active both days that introduces Robin Hood. Day 1 has Odins, Metatrons, Dragonbounds, Ilm, and Zuoh at 1x. Day 2 has Kalis, JP Dragoncallers, Norns, and Fenrirs at 1x.

Please read the rules before posting, especially if this is your first time:

  • I will only take box questions that supply a PADherder. It makes it much, much easier for me to give good advice this way (you could say I can’t give good advice without the sorting options). Try PadListener to sync if you’re on Android (if it works for you), otherwise use this method.
  • Box/roll questions that don’t supply rank, IAP status and main teams will be ignored. Any other information you want to supply will only help.
  • Please check the FAQ after the break before asking a question. Questions that aren’t covered by the FAQ will be prioritized; questions that don’t may be ignored.
  • WordPress flags comments with multiple links. I still get the comment, I just have to approve it manually for it to show up on the site. So if your comment doesn’t show up, this might be the case. Ideally, only post a single link to your PADherder.
  • I generally reply on a first come, first serve basis, but if there’s a low hanging fruit I’ll address that first.
  • I will post thread status as bold red comments. Make sure you read these comments before posting to make sure you aren’t violating the rules. I’m no longer segregating comments by day, instead I’ll indicate how many questions I be able to take for a given thread in the first status comment, then stop taking new ones after that.
  • No new questions will be taken after the godfest ends. Questions asked in other posts may be ignored; please wait for the next godfest!
  • Follow-ups to existing questions will be taken as long as the post is still open for comments.
  • I’ll close the post for comments a few hours after the godfest ends.
  • Any comments breaking the rules will be removed without warning.

FAQ

This is FAQ is a work in progress.

  • I’m rank 200 or lower and low- or non-IAP, should I roll for X god? – In general, no. Even if the RNG gods blessed you and you just need that one god to perfect your team, early on you should be focusing on accumulating stones and waiting for a high-value godfest. You want to accumulate value to increase the overall quality of your box so you have more team options in the future; not only is the meta always shifting, but there’s no single team in the game that can clear all content. The Player’s Choice Godfest is generally the best value early on, but normal godfests can be plenty good nowadays depending on the combination. Pantheons that have a wide variety of uses like the Heroes, Chinese and Three Kingdoms are great. Minimizing dupe chances should also be a high priority. Also, don’t underestimate the effect the current gala can have on your rolls and be sure to factor in the GFEs that are omitted or have reduced chance (i.e. you want to maximize your chances to roll DKali).
  • Which MP Dragon should I buy? – This image isn’t perfect, but sums it up nicely. Credit for the image goes to fether from the subreddit. If there’s ever an updated version, please point me toward it.
  • Why is X monster rated higher than Y monster? – The monster ratings aren’t there to be an accurate, authoritative resource on a card’s power, but are more used as a ballpark estimate to give a relative idea of how useful a given card or pantheon is which is used to help evaluate godfests.
  • Why is the overall rating not an average of the lead and sub ratings? – Long story short, when grades are given using the normal distribution, cards that are both good as leaders and subs get a boost while ones that are bad as both get penalized. This is because most cards in the game are usually only good at one role, not both.

Grading scale. Ratings are weighed in favor of endgame viability. Ratings try to take the latest JP updates into consideration. The overall grade is not an average and is based on the normal distribution of the combined lead and sub ratings.

My initial reaction was “oh god, anything but Indian 1,” but as it turns out the pantheon is actually still quite solid. Buffs to Shiva, Lakshmi and Parvati have helped keep them relevant. In particular, Lakshmi is still one of the best leaders in the game and Parvati has upped her sub relevancy with the heart-cross meta and the ability to enhance wood orbs. The recent awoken uevos for Indra and Vritra also help. Vritra in particular will be key for button teams with this nuke being raised from 150x to 200x. It’s hard to get excited for this pantheon, mainly out of habit, but it’s hard to deny that they’re good.

The Three Kingdoms pantheon was one of the top pantheons for a long time. It started to lag behind a few months ago, but has been revitalized with the new wave of uevos. Liu Bei in particular is one of the most coveted pantheon rolls due to his prowess in co-op farming. All of DQXQ’s forms are useful, but her awoken form is a great leader as well as a sub for Myr teams. Cao Cao’s been living in Liu Bei’s shadow, but is still a great leader in his own right and his non-awoken forms are still superior subs. Then there’s Sun Quan and Lu Bu.

Day 2 lines up perfectly for those looking to start a Liu Bei. While the wood gala doesn’t improve rates for Liu Bei himself, it does mean you’ll have a chance to roll some of his supporting subs while going for him.

  1. Hi Setsu,

around 90 days in game, non-IAP, rank 270. Was probably pretty lucky with my start rolls so I use dark team as main – Panda, Gryps Rider Finn, Vampire Duke, Reincarnated Voice, Ryune. Im able to clear some mythicals with it (think 4-8mill nuke with decent board) Other noticable REM: Cao Cao, Susano, Hathor, Hades, Baldin.

Really wonder what to do next with my 110 stones. Wait for next players choice Godfest? Try roll for better leads then 25x Panda? Day 2 has some of these.

    • I would be pretty surprised if some of these cards weren’t included in the next PCGF. I would expect at least A. Liu Bei and A. DQXQ to make it in (probabaly A. Vritra), due to coop prowess and Myr respectively. In my opinion I would be patient, you’ve got some decent cards to start off your box and since you are new it definitely wouldn’t hurt to hold off for the godfest that is designed to benefit someone in your position the most.

That being said there is no way to predict what exactly will be in a PCGF, but the last couple have had pretty quality lineups.

Also I will play devil’s advocate and say it doesn’t hurt to throw a YOLO roll at the REM as long as you have the fortitude to stop yourself if you don’t wanna blow it all at that specific time.

      Good Luck

      • It’s fairly meaningless speculating what could be in the PCGF this far out. There’s also little point for a new player to sit on stones for that long when they’re in a position where a good roll can be of most help. I’m not a fan of the notion that people should sit on stones for several months waiting for a PCGF that may not even be good for them.

        Like

    • The PCGF won’t happen until late November. That’s about 100 days. That’s a long time to sit on 100+ stones. Like the earliest I recommend people start saving for the PCGF would be like 2 months. Considering what cards you’ve listed, you should be looking for opportunities to roll before then. Be as stingy as you can, but you really need some cards to work on between now and then. What you should be looking for are high-value godfests that will improve your box overall. This godfest doesn’t really do that as there are only a handful of GFEs that are good for general use and they’re usually 6-stars. I’d wait for a good two pantheon godfest. For new players, I’m quite fond of recommending Heroes, Chinese (not quite as warm on them recently, but they’re still good for new players), and Greek 2. Considering their recently announced uevos, I’d also recommend Constellation 1 and Sengoku.

I also like the Three Kingdoms, which is interesting because they’re featured day 2. Liu Bei and DQXQ are particularly good because they work well with farmables (Dios and Myr respectively). The problem is you already have Cao Cao and the rest aren’t particularly good. It becomes even worse when you consider there’s only a single featured pantheon. While I don’t like recommend single pantheon godfests, I could see rolling here if either Liu Bei or DQXQ appeal to you. This is also a decent day for GFEs as DMeta, Zuoh, Typhon, Eschamali, and Gremory all go well with your Pandora.

  2. Hi Setsu,

I’m wondering if it’s worthwhile for me to roll this godfest. Based on my current box I’m really eyeing some good subs. Particularly Sun Quan, Cao Cao or Indra. I rolled a DQXQ on my initial roll and it has served me well. She is my go to team for almost everything except mindless farming i often use my LZL team then. I just got an awoken meimei so I’ve been starting to play a lot with her too. I’m slowly working on branching out to make dark, fire, & water teams now. Anyways I’d appreciate to hear your thoughts on whether I should roll this fest and if I’m overlooking some of the options this godfest. Thank you!

    • While I can see an immediate use for Indra, I’m failing to see why Sun Quan or Cao Cao would be desirable.

I guess what I’m most at odds with is your desire to branch out your teams so much when, quite frankly, they aren’t very good. If your prerogative is to enjoy the game through making various teams, I can respect that, but if you’re looking to advance efficiently then I think that’s a mistake.

Since your box is lacking, I’d recommend waiting for a better godfest to roll since what you really want to do is simply increase the overall strength of your box. Every godfest has about the same chance to roll for a gold, but what you want is one where the odds of the ones that can help you the most are elevated. This usually means two-pantheon godfests are better than every other variation since GFEs on average aren’t as useful as the average of two good pantheons. I wouldn’t recommend rolling either day.

If you want a wood team, I’d strongly recommend going Bastet. Since the PAD Cross Ace dungeons have been translated, there’s a very good chance we’ll get them soon (there’s always a chance we won’t get them, but at this point it seems pretty good). Bastet Ace is probably your best leader and a core of Meimei, Osiris and Sasuke is pretty nice. Australis would be a great assist skill, too. Even if we don’t get Ace, Awoken Bastet is still probably your best wood leader.

      • Thanks for the response! I’ve been able to get through most of PAD with simply my dqxq especially mythical descends since their recent ult evo. However, as you pointed out my overall box is still not very strong and adqxq can’t simply conquer everything. Thankfully I’ll have an awoken bastet as soon as I evo up my medjedra.

        • As I stated earlier, the Ace dungeons are more than likely coming to NA and Bastet Ace is much better than Awoken Bastet. Instead of wasting resources on Awoken Bastet, especially the Woodpys, it’s probably better to wait for Ace. If you want to hedge your bets, I guess you could just evolve her, not invest much else, then switch to Ace if/when he arrives.

  3. I am kind of curious as to what MP monster you would recommend for this box. I almost have 300 K MP now so I am just waiting on the MP rotation. Somehow I got lucky and ended up with two DKali’s without rolling much during the GFE Exclusive godfests. I am currently thinking about Xiu Mi since I have almost all the high end subs. I am currently rank 327 and haven’t really spent much. https://www.padherder.com/user/Scottish/monsters/#31,0,31,8191,4294967295_63,0,,0,0,0,eq,0,0,0,0,;default,0

    • I know you’re looking for an MP monster recommendation, but have you thought about going for Myr instead? Wukong, DQXQ, Apoc, Saria, these are all great, highly coveted Myr subs and you have them all. She’s also much stronger than any MP lead. I can see being reluctant in farming her, but I think it’s well worth the effort and would allow you to save your MP for something else. Barring that, you could just wait for Awoken Izanagi.

However, if you really must buy an MP card, I guess Xiu Min? To be honest, I’m not really sure if he’s any better than an Awoken DQXQ team you could toss together. What exactly would you be trying to accomplish in buying him? I also have a hard time recommending Ra Dragon at this point even though he’s still quite good. It just feels like since he’s been around for so long that it’s his time to finally fall off a cliff. Considering that you don’t have a lot of a support cards for him is probably all the more reason to not buy him. Outside those two, there really isn’t anything worth considering.

      • Thanks a lot! I’ll try to throw a team together to take on the myr dungeon then and save my mp for whatever comes down the line later. I have finished almost all of the mythical dungeons but so far have been reluctant to try any of the legend plus or mythical plus. I was mainly looking for a way of tackling the ultimate arena, and mechanical zeus and hera.

        • Well, Myr is a pretty good option for clearing all of those dungeons. So if clearing her dungeon is within your reach, that’s probably better than buying something from the MP Shop.

  4. Rank 425, only 7 stones (but may buy a small pack for the second day in chasing Liu Bei and another Kaede). https://www.padherder.com/user/tullidil/

I need direction for MP Dragons and Co-op Teams. Should I be trying to make a button pushing team for farming co-op?

Secondarily, is Kaede/Michael/Verd/Vishnu/Thumbelina/Kaede a legit team to be sinking lots of + eggs into for the foreseeable future? My only concrete aspirations right now are that and getting a team to farm Myr since I think I have quite a few of her good subs.

    Thanks for your time!

    Like

    • I assume by co-op teams you mean ones of the farming variety. If that’s the case, your box is missing the tools to run the more common teams. Having no Liu Bei is obviously a problem for that team and not having Raphael for MZeus will also make things difficult. You can definitely run MZeus without Raph, but it’ll limit your partners and what dungeons you can run. I don’t really know much about co-op farming outside those teams. Maybe you can do something with Cao Cao when we get him. There’s also a possibility of running Dios as a lead instead of Liu Bei.

If by MP Dragons you mean all of the 300k MP cards, I’m not a fan of any of the leaders. That may change if there are buffs or new ones come out, but as it stands, I don’t think any of them are worth 300k. One the other hand, I’m a fan of buying subs, as long as you already have the leads to support them. For example, if you happen to roll Ronove, I’d definitely recommend rolling a Ragnarok Dragon (in fact, if you rolled Ronove that’d be pretty ideal as you could run Kaede, Ragnarok Dragon, Gainaut, and what support card to cover water).

I’m not a huge fan of that Kaede team considering your Myr team is much better. If you plan on farming Myr, I’d definitely wait to +egg that instead.

  5. Hi Setsu,
My rank is 440 and I’m non-iap. My main team use to be my fire team, but I’ve moved onto using my green, dark and water teams as it’s much harder to find coop with fire. I also haven’t gotten into the heart cross meta but I would love to try it out, (can’t beat Myr/ light team, or heart-cross leads). So my question is, if I should roll this godfest and which day (I have about 25 stones). And do I have any feasible light teams.

    • Your box is still in its infancy despite your rank so you should be worrying more about improving your overall box quality. You just need more building blocks to work with. With that in mind, neither of these godfests are particularly good. Even if you rolled a heart-cross lead, you don’t really have the parts to support them anyways. I’d wait for a good two-pantheon godfest to roll in. The exception would be if you’re ready to go all-in in getting Liu Bei for co-op farming, but with only 25 stones that’s a pretty big gamble.

        • My copy paste answer would be Heroes, Greek 2 and Chinese followed by Three Kingdoms, Constellation 1, Sengoku, and Archangels. From those, I’d pick the ones that are geared toward your own goals. Like if you really wanted a heart-cross team, Heroes and Archangels (and to a lesser extent, Three Kingdoms and Sengoku) should be high on your list.

  6. Hey Setsu,

I’m rank 467 on NA, light IAP (a pack every couple months), and here’s my box: https://www.padherder.com/user/pandoni/monsters. I’ve been running MZeus, Yomidra, and Pandora for more difficult content, and MZeus, Shivadra, Pandora, and occasionallyl Goemon for farming purposes. I’m also sitting on 400k MP.

I dropped 3 packs worth of stones on the 5x GFE godfest to chase dupe Kaedes but didn’t really get anything to show for it (which I knew was the expected outcome going in). I now feel like I don’t have a clear focus on what to work towards, whether it be to open new doors content-wise (I’ve cleared up to Arena 1, C10s) or make farming easier. I’ve been hesitant to farm Dioses, as I don’t have Liu Bei (or less optimal replacements), and I don’t have a great box to support Myr.

So basically, where do you suggest I invest my time, stamina, and stones at this point? Sumire team? Save up and roll for Ronove with a good godfest?

    Really appreciate any advice, thanks!

    Like

    • I’m a big fan of Ronove. He’s the opposite of Myr in a way. Where Myr is farmable, but needs quite a few REM rolls to make her work well, with Ronove you first need to roll him, but then you can fill in much of his team with farmables (Linthia, Gainaut, I’d also consider Ragnarok Dragon farmable). And considering you already have Kaede, you already have a leg up on that team. Of course, it’s no trivial task rolling “just a 5-star GFE,” but I do think it’s worth a shot. This makes day 2 pretty attractive for you since you have a chance to get Liu Bei too, but it’s unfortunate that Kaede is also not at 4x rates. If you’re still recovering from the 5x godfest, I don’t see any problem saving up first, but I do think this is a pretty good opportunity for you.

Like you said, the other option is Sumire. I do like her a lot and she has the benefit of already having a great team to work with. I like the upside of Ronove more, but it’s probably a good idea to hedge your bets with Sumire; you can work on Ronove if/when you roll him.

I’m also a fan of making the farming process as easy as possible, but I don’t really know how to suggest making it easier since you don’t have a Liu Bei. I guess you could invest into some fire teams, but unless you have some specific dungeons you want to farm with them I wouldn’t invest blindly.

      Like

      • Do you think a Sumire team would be more consistent than my current Kaede team (Kaede/Parvati/Vishnu/Vishnu/Verd)? I’ve also been hesitant to dump resources into developing it for fear of not actually accomplishing much.

Given my box, would it be better for me to try to roll for a GFE that I want, or should I instead roll in the Summer REM? The GFE’s I’m looking for currently are Ilm for MZeus, Ronove for new lead potential, and Kaede so the one in my box isn’t lonely, but I’m also tempted by Summyr, BEschamali, and Surfing Goemon. I don’t feel like spending so much as to get 500k MP by the end of the event, as college costs quite a bit to get into.

      • Hmm, for whatever reason I missed your original comment. Good thing you replied.

There’s two ways to approach this decision, objectively or subjectively. Objectively — meaning, you want to make the most efficient decision to progress in the game — going the Ilm/Ronove route is better. As a leader, Ronove is arguably better than Myr and you already have two of his best subs in Kaede and Ragnarok Dragon. Ilm is also invaluable for endgame farming. Subjectively — meaning, any reason that isn’t the objective one — it obviously comes down to preference. Do you have some sort of attachment to the water versions of Myr or Eschamali that make you want to acquire them? Would the game be less fun if you didn’t acquire them (although Escha is far from a guarantee to get)? Most players would choose the objective path, but when it comes down to it, people should play PAD in whatever way gives them the most satisfaction.

Personally, I would go the Ronove route, but I also understand why someone would want water Myr, especially since it looks like you don’t have a light Myr team. That’s why I’m glad I can do both 🙂

        • So, regrettably, I spent more than I wanted to, but I did pull Ronove and 500k MP (pls help me). I don’t have a second Kaede or a Rozuel, though, so I can’t make the ideal team. What replacements do you suggest until I get the ideal team?

  8. Hi Setsu,

I haven’t been able to update my padherder so I’ll just ask some questions based on teams.

Currently, I have been farming Arena with Panda, and its been ok, albeit a bit slow… I was thinking about pairing my Panda with Oda but I realized at 34k HP, its not enough to tank DQ hera.. so I feel like its a bit of waste to carry a shield on a “tank” team.. Do you think Lubu/Oda would be better than any other combination of Panda/Panda, Panda/Oda? Or is the upgrade from Panda/Panda to Lubu/Oda is not enough of an increase in power to warrant a use of the 297 tama.

Hopefully this question can be answered without needing my box.

    • Have you thought about farming dark resist latents in coin rogues? I’m basically swimming in them after only a month or so of farming. It feels like you get an invade like once every 4 or so runs (don’t know the exact number). It looks like you’d only need about 15 or so to survive at 34k HP assuming Arena 1. It looks like dark resists are currently in Volsung which isn’t a great dungeon to farm, but it looks to rotate into Scarlet next rotation which is also a great dungeon to farm MP in.

    • I wrote something up already but it got lost. I’d feel like writing everything out again, so here’s a quick summary of what I remember:
      – You don’t really have the cards to support another team. Even if you rolled another leader, you wouldn’t have the subs for them. As a new account, you should focus on acquiring value and improving your box rather than targeting specific things. Wait for a good two-pantheon godfest with minimal dupe risk.
      – Selling dupe silvers is usually pretty safe. Selling anything else is very risky. It only takes one update to make a garbage card quite good (see: Anima). MP isn’t hard to farm so it’s better to save your cards.
      – If I was playing your account, I’d wait for a good godfest to roll. My favorite pantheons for new accounts are Heroes, Greek 2 and Chinese. Archangels, Sengoku, Three Kingdoms, and Constellation 1 are also good. You can reassess your direction after you roll. Outside rolling, I’d continue to skill up and +egg your Luci team.

    • Usually I tell low-rankers to save stones for a better opportunity. Single-pantheon godfest are usually bad value because GFEs generally aren’t that great for new players due to most of them being extremely narrow. I’d try my best to wait for a better opportunity. At this point, what you want most are more subs so I’d wait for a godfest like that; this godfest has some excellent subs, but is more geared towards leaders.
