JP Aggregate Leader List

Disclaimer: The aggregate list is basically a compilation of the leader tier lists from three JP PAD sites: Game8, GameWith and AppMedia. The idea is that while a single tier list can have many points of contention, hopefully an aggregate can kind of smooth things over (it doesn’t, really, but it helps a bit). I try to keep my hands off the results as much as possible; the extent of my involvement is setting the algorithm to aggregate the results. I wish I could be fully hands off, but as none of the lists have 1:1 correlation in their grades, I have to have that much involvement. Don’t take these ratings as fact; I encourage you to simply take them as a starting point for discussion to figure out which leads are actually the best for your specific situation.
Another dull week. As much as all the new leaders are new and different, they can’t overcome the heart-cross’s stranglehold on the meta. I’m really looking forward to playing with some of the new cards, the Wisdom Kings in particular. Acala being the most appealing for various reasons beyond pure strength (how I can I say no to a wood cutie with a light saber and three time extends?).
JP Aggregate Leader List Changes of Note

Change: Added to 2
This seems about right. I’ll say what I’ve been saying for the past few weeks, though: I really have no idea how to judge this new mechanic without playing it myself. |
New Card Holding Tank

Ranked Sites: Game8 (A)
They really went all-out with the Indian 2 uuevos. 2.25/45.56/2.25 is pretty damned nice and makes Uzume’s awoken look silly by comparison. For those on NA looking for a tanky leader that doesn’t use heart-crosses, this will probably be the best we get. |
|
Ranked Sites: Game8 Co-op (S)
I usually don’t list co-op cards here, but I thought it was worth pointing out that Ganesha is pretty insane and will probably be as sought-after as Liu Bei if not more so. Sure, Monday dungeon is a thing, but that doesn’t apply to the average player as going for pure rank EXP is such an inefficient use of resources. What he can do for every player is reduce the time between rank-up stamina refreshes when farming low-end dungeons. Biweeklies, skill up carnivals and collab dungeons all come to mind, but even something like Mechdragons on 20x gets boosted to about 1,700 exp/stam; that’s better than Zaerog∞. It’s time to dust off your Nazca and Wangrens and the like. |

Why Krinsha isn’t in the list?
Setsu, what do you think about Krishna’s place?
Near Kaede, near Myr, near Lucifer?

He’s in the holding tank and on Game8’s list. Be sure to read everything before posting.
I think Game8 has it about right.

Yeah, I didn’t see it. Thanks!

Kinnikuman at 2 I can be OK with. I’m not sure if he’s better than heart cross leads, but he’s not far behind them if not. (I am still of the opinion that 4/x/4 naturally is better than requiring a cross.)
Quick question: Do you think that Krishna is better than Orchid? The forums were blowing up for the past few days, and I just wanted to gauge your opinion. Personally, he has higher HP, lower damage and lower average RCV, but 20K HP, and decent healing off of only 3 hearts is nice, plus a limitless subpool.
Personally, the winner is Orchid, but there’s a decent argument for Krishna.
In the end, neither has a heart cross, so it’s a race for third tier, but I digress. 😛

I don’t think Krishna is better than Xiang Mei. From my perspective, it’s pretty much a wash although I’m sure there are plenty of reasons to prefer one over the other. Personally, I appreciate Krishna’s sub pool and that his play style rewards making fire orbs and nuking shit now rather than stalling forever.

Is there a particular order from left to right, or only up to down? It irks me when people think improved arena aptitude automatically makes BMyr better than Myr better overall.

The aggregate list is sorted left to right by element and sub-element. The individual JP lists are sorted left to right in the order they appear in the original lists. Order doesn’t matter since it’s a tier list, not a ranking list.

So glad to see my bby Krishna get a spot on at least one tier list ❤ Compared to heart cross like Kaede I wasn't expecting him to even hold a candle, but he is very strong in his own right and is certainly a breath of fresh air for those who are more than ready to move on from heart cross (or don't have Kaede which is you know like 99% of PAD players). His flexibility is really what gives him a leg up, you can run basically anything and clear a ton of content. I haven't felt this hyped in a while and I can't wait for him to hit stateside.
I feel like heart cross has "stabilized" the meta for a long time now, it feels kind of good in a way but at the same time said "stable" meta top leads remain as either 6* GFE or a card that needs 6* GFE/MP cards to function at his best. But it is good to see Myr retaining her position as a top card in the game for those lacking other options. There's a lot of complaints about "Oh everything that's good is just a 6* GFE nowadays" but considering Myr exists and BMyr was at least purchaseable even if it was a steep price does mitigate that somewhat. I personally love my Light Myr to death. Even if she has not skilled up at all whatsoever (going on 70+ feeds all done on 3x skill ups and she's 1 away from max).
On the flip side it makes me curious to see what it will take for GH to push us from the heart cross meta onto other options. What sort of astronomical power creep will we see next if even Kinnukiman wasn't enough? Or what sort of dungeon difficulty creep is upcoming? Hahaha
Thanks for publishing these aggregate tier list as always~!

I totally agree about Krishna. The recent batch (the past month or so?) of pantheon ultimates has been good for giving people that can’t support heart-crosses some options.
I also agree about the 6-stars/Myr. I think another factor that deflects attention from the OP-ness of the heart-cross is that co-op — lead by Liu Bei — is the major focus of the game now.
I, for one, would be fine if Kaede makes like Ra Dragon and leads the meta for a good 9 months or so. Yes, the heart-crossing will get tiresome after a while, but hopefully GungHo makes enough interesting leaders under Kaede to keep things fresh. So far, it looks like they’re succeeding to a certain degree. But yeah, I too am curious how they plan to move forward.

I’m hoping Kushinada makes list. It’s a shame that everything that’s not a Heart-Cross or Tank-Leader can’t make the list. She’s a very strong leader with multipliers that even fit in today’s meta, so it kinda confuses me while Bastet Ace makes the tier list but not her…

On her merits as a card alone, it’s questionable if she’s even in the second tier of wood leaders which includes Vishnu, Acala and Aretmis. As long as long dungeons like Arena define the endgame, glass cannons will be at a severe disadvantage in tier lists. However, I guess there’s a world where her ability to farm something like MZeus will give her enough of a boost to break into the lists a la Sephiroth.
Bastet Ace is likely only there due to inertia. He’s probably still superior to Kushi, but I can see the argument otherwise.

Well, a boy can dream… Her biggest adventage is probably the fact that she is very popular among the japanese fandom. She’s like the perfect mix of Anubis and Bastet, forgiving with few combos and rewarding with high combos. I also just realised that she made AYomi totally obsolete (if he wasn’t already). Seeing how you get a 7x with 7 combos, while Yomi gives you 7,5x with 7 combos +5 of at least one color. Let’s see what the future holds for my main chick

Her lack of skyfalls is something you’ve failed to address. This is a huge drawback, especially on normal 6×5, 6-color boards where you’re normally limited to 7-8 combos.

I actually feel like this is an adventage since you have so much more damage control, this way it’s easier to deal with resolve, Sopdets and the times where you just want to knock the enemy into a certain position! 🙂

True, it can be an advantage at times. However, all the best teams already have consistent ways to deal with these without having a contradictory leader skill. It certainly isn’t a net positive.
