This is a help thread, so please feel free to ask questions on just about anything concerning the godfest or your teams, box and progress in general.

Please read the rules before posting, especially if this is your first time:

  • I will only take box questions that supply a PADherder. It makes it much, much easier for me to give good advice this way (you could say I can’t give good advice without the sorting options). Try PadListener to sync if you’re on Android (if it works for you), otherwise use this method.
  • Box/roll questions that don’t supply rank, IAP status and main teams will be ignored. Any other information you want to supply will only help.
  • Please check the FAQ after the break before asking a question. Questions that aren’t covered by the FAQ will be prioritized; questions that don’t may be ignored.
  • I have WordPress set to flag comments with multiple links to combat spam. I still get the comment, I just have to approve it manually for it to show up on the site. So if your comment doesn’t show up, this might be the case. Ideally, only post a single link to your PADherder.
  • I generally reply on a first come, first serve basis, but if there’s a low hanging fruit I’ll address that first.
  • I will post thread status as bold red comments. Make sure you read these comments before posting to make sure you aren’t violating the rules. I’m no longer segregating comments by day, instead I’ll indicate how many questions I be able to take for a given thread in the first status comment, then stop taking new ones after that.
  • No new questions will be taken after the godfest ends. Questions asked in other posts may be ignored; please wait for the next godfest!
  • Follow-ups to existing questions will be taken as long as the post is still open for comments.
  • I’ll close the post for comments a few hours after the godfest ends.
  • Any comments breaking the rules will be removed without warning.

FAQ

This is FAQ is a work in progress (last updated: 9/28/16).

  • I’m rank 200 or lower and low- or non-IAP, should I roll for X god? – In general, no. Even if the RNG gods blessed you and you just need that one god to perfect your team, early on you should be focusing on accumulating stones and waiting for a high-value godfest. You want to accumulate value to increase the overall quality of your box so you have more team options in the future as the meta always shifting. The Player’s Choice Godfest (PCGF) is generally the best value early on, but normal godfests can be plenty good nowadays depending on the combination. Pantheons that have a wide variety of uses like the Heroes, Chinese and Three Kingdoms are great. Minimizing dupe chances should also be a high priority. Galas have been changed to have a reduced impact ever since the gala exclusives were introduced so while it can certainly play a part in your decision, don’t let to weigh too heavily. As GFEs are generally at 4x rates or higher now, which sets are excluded from the bonus plays a much bigger role now.
  • Which MP Dragon should I buy? – This image isn’t perfect, but sums it up nicely. Credit for the image goes to fether from the subreddit. If there’s ever an updated version, please point me toward it. In the day and age of Liu Bei, MP is an easily farmable commodity so if that’s within your capability and you’re good with allocating the time to do so, you can afford to be more impulsive with your purchases.
  • Why is X monster rated higher than Y monster? – The monster ratings aren’t there to be an accurate, authoritative resource on a card’s power, but are more used as a ballpark estimate to give a relative idea of how useful a given card or pantheon is which is used to help evaluate godfests. Co-op isn’t a current factor so don’t be surprised to see cards like Liu Bei with a lower than expected rating.
  • Why is the overall rating not an average of the lead and sub ratings? – Long story short, when grades are given using the normal distribution, cards that are both good as leaders and subs get a boost in the overall rating while ones that are bad as both get penalized. This is because most cards in the game are usually only exceptionally good at one role, not both.

Grading scale. Ratings are weighed in favor of endgame viability. Ratings try to take the latest JP updates into consideration. The overall grade is not an average and is based on the normal distribution of the combined lead and sub ratings. Grades do not factor co-op or skill inheritance at this time.

The Archangel uuevos have held up quite well over time, mostly off the backs of the RGB orb changes working well with the heart meta and Raphael providing a near-irreplaceable effect. As is, I expect them to be quite good as subs for a long time, but it’ll be exciting to see what their awokens eventually look like to see if they can become relevant leaders again.

Ganesha with his rank EXP bonus could very well be the most valuable card in the game. Even for players that don’t intend to use him to grind rank, the fact that you can use him to have better control of when you hit your rank-up stamina refresh is invaluable. Then add in the fact that Krishna is a beast leader — arguably the best pantheon lead in the game — and the rest are no joke (even Durga) and you have what could easily be the best pantheon in the game. Hell, they’ve even decent subs beyond solely Vishnu now. It’s hard to believe just a few months ago they were one of the worst.

Kalis, Ilm, Zuoh, Baldin, Balboa, and the Dragonbounds are at 1x rates. It’s nice that the JP Callers are available both days.

The Angels are one of the pantheons in greatest need of new evolutions. Ariel and Rozuel have found new relevancy on Myr and Ronove teams, respectively, and recent buffs have given Famiel and Lumiel some relevancy as area lasers, but outside that there isn’t much to like. This pantheon has been in the dumpster since it’s inception so hopefully GungHo gives them some love, and soon (there’s a stream in a couple days, just sayin’).

Didn’t we just get the Sengoku last godfest? Well, they’re still as great as always, except now they’re paired with a technically worse pantheon, although it could be argued that the Angels have more practical use than the Archdemons in the endgame.

Sonias, Steel Stars, Odins, and Norns are at 1x rates.

  1. Similar to last week, I’m going to make a soft limit of 5 major advice questions. As stated in the sticky, I’m busy with IRL stuff so I can’t answer as many questions as I’d like, but I figure it’s better than nothing. I’ll once again try to answer whatever comes after that, but I make no guarantees. It helps that it’s the weekend, though. Once the weekend is over or I feel I don’t have the time to answer any more questions, I’ll be closing the comments.

    • He’s one of the better assist skills in the game, going well with both wood and dark teams.

But I’m assuming you meant as a base sub? That’s a bit difficult as rows don’t have much support in wood anymore. He’s usable on many of the better teams — like Kaede, Vishnu, Kushi, and Parvati — just not great. His dark form does have a TPA, but using a sub for basically 3 awakenings isn’t all that desirable even if the active is great.

There aren’t many wood row leads. Probably his best use is on Liu Bei, being able to provide healing or combine with Liu Bei’s active to make a full wood board. There’s also Astaroth, but unfortunately it’s his dark form that qualifies for her leader skill. Then there’s things like Perseus that aren’t all that great.

  2. Thank you once again for taking the time to give us a hand.

    Padherder: https://www.padherder.com/user/Marr/monsters/

    Rank: 282

Non/Low-IAP (125 stones): From time to time for the foreseeable future I will keep buying those one-off 4.99USD/6.99 CDN value packs as they reset them.

Combo skills: Still learning how to do a cross reliably and in a variety of ways. Can hit 4-6 combos w/o skyfall luck (1-2 w/ cross).

Teams: Thoria is my main for all tough solo content. Verdandi for low level farming and a Goemon co-op team for farming Zeus-Dios. Working towards building up an ALB co-op team. In terms of other meta-relevant leaders I have Krishna, Ronove, Typhon, Sumire, and Parvati (maybe Tsubaki will qualify?), but I do not have full teams for any of them as yet.

Here’s a brief description of my goals:

Short term I welcome a sub upgrade for my Thoria team. Raphael, DQXQ and Wukong would all be very well received. Extra flex utility is also welcome. While I have yet to exhaust this team’s potential, I can see that it will eventually hit a wall – and so I want to prepare for that not-too-distant day.
I have identified Krishna and Ronove as the two leads I am most enthusiastic to develop teams for to surpass the limitations of a Thoria team. I believe I would be most effective with Krishna at my present skill-level and box, while Ronove can be a longer-term project as I improve my skills.

To do this I will require: 1) a functional ALB coop team to access higher-end farmable and MP shop subs; 2) more valuable subs from the REM.

The measures I have taken to realize these goals since you last reviewed my box are as follows:

I have built both A team and B team of the custom Goemon led Zeus-Dios farming team you recommended, and I will now begin to seek other players to push-button farm Zeus-Dios descends.

As a non/low-IAP player I have been disciplined in my acquisition and hoarding of magic stones using my Thoria team and allotting my daily stamina to beat every descended, weekly special, and challenge dungeon I can, working my way through team challenges in Normal and Technical dungeons, and of course taking advantage of any freebies I can that GH sends our way (all while feeding the +eggs to my better Thoria subs). At present I have 125 stones, my goal is to have pushed that as close to 185 by the PCGF as possible (counting any I spend some on a Godfest before) so that I would have the flexibility to take advantage of a couple desirable Godfests as well as the PCGF. As a basically non-IAP player this will represent the one-time cash-in of a lot of the game’s farmable magic stones – so I need to make it count.

Should I roll? And if so, how much emphasis on either day?

Day one seems like a solid day. Angels hasn’t been around since March (seems unprecedented when I looked at past GF intervals) and it’s tempting to roll on that basis alone as 4/5 angels would be of theoretical value to me – one, Raphael, being very coveted for my Thoria team and a later SI for certain dungeons on a range of possible teams. The Indian 2 pairing isn’t great for me, but it isn’t bad, Vishnu and Ganesha would be a score. Overall pretty low dupe risk (just Krishna and Uriel). Good value, on the whole, but nothing here in the pantheons to help a Krishna or Ronove team (am I prematurely narrowing my focus?), I could hold off on Angels only to wait many months, or find it paired with something even less enticing (Mechanical 2 or Demons). Kaede and Dantalion are in play.

Day two is a head scratcher for me. Angels 2 features Rozuel – who is pretty close to my most coveted sub at the moment (useful for both Krishna and Ronove) – but not a lot else unless I’m missing something. Samurai likewise has the very tempting target of Sanada, but otherwise a lot of dupe risk. While a dupe Akechi would be ok, a third Maeda or Mitsunari would be… unfortunate. In addition to Kaede and Dantalion, this day also allows me to take a crack at scoring Ilm.

Heroes is the big one I want to keep a stone buffer for so I can take a minimum 50 stone run at it (I presently have no one from that pantheon and would be thrilled with any or all of them). I also want to be objective about the PCGF, but I’ve never participated in one before and I’m excited by the idea of saving/building a bunch of rolls for it (maybe 85-ish stones) – given the meta, there’s got to be a decent chance at Kaede, Ilm, D Kali being featured there – maybe even Isis, Minerva and DQXQ.

Does the Godfest pot tend to get noticeably further sweetened even closer to PCGF (before and/or after)?

I feel like I should probably give 25-30 stones to each day. Your thoughts?

    Cheers!

    • First, let’s address the PCGF. Suffice to say, it’s impossible to know what people will vote for so it’s really hard to make plans regarding it. Outside the usual 6-star GFEs and regulars like Akechi and Pandora the rest is up in the air. JP’s last PCGF had many of the cards you want — Rozuel, Raphael, Wukong, Dantalion — but it’s uncertain if it’ll translate to NA. Raphael in particular seems iffy; he made it on NA last time, but at #25 and not much happened to improve his prospects in the mean time. There’s a chance it’ll be great for you, but at the same time it could be horrible, so whether you roll now or later depends on how risk averse you want to be.

Day 1 is fine. I can see you putting a few rolls in. A dupe Krishna would be painful, but there are worse things than a dupe Uriel. I think there’s enough upside to pull the trigger, especially since you want Raphael.

Day 2 I’d probably pass. It really depends how much you want the other Angels, not just Rozuel. I don’t think she’s worth rolling for by herself and, as you said, it only gets worse due to the Ishida and Maeda dupe risk. Let’s hope Rozuel makes the PCGF or she gets paired with a better pantheon in the near future.

In the past I felt that godfests leading up to the PCGF were of higher quality. While this one is pretty good, I was expecting more.

  3. Hey setsu! Been a long time since I’ve asked for advice, but I’m sorely tempted to go big this godfest and could use your guidance once again.

    Padherder: https://www.padherder.com/user/mischiefmaker/monsters/

    Rank/IAP: closing in on 600 days of strictly 100% non-IAP, rank 561.

    Goals:
    – Clear the dungeons I haven’t yet done: Arena 2/3, Ultimate Descended Rush, Machine Athena, SUDR, Achtros, Extreme Endless. Challenge mode technicals beyond Defoud.
    – Get a top 10% ranking dungeon placement to finish that pesky last quest.

Teams: 90%+ of my play now is ALB-swiping. I did run Myr through most of the one-shot challenge and found that pretty fun, which has me motivated to take on some of the last remaining endgame dungeons that I’ve just been putting off.

In terms of teams I’d like to build, I don’t think there’s anything that’s as good as Myr, but Krishna feels like he’ll be slightly less powerful but easier to play, and I’d like to build a Lakshmi team at some point, just because she’s been sitting in my box for nearly a year without the necessary subs.

I’m also eager to see the Yomidra uevo — so far everything with absurd evo mats has been pushed pretty hard, so I have pretty high expectations (point is, if I go down this path I’ll need to be able to farm a Hera Dragon). I’ve been able to resist buying anything with MP, so am at around 550k now (I almost caved on summer Claire, but managed to beat MZeus without her).

I’m at around 200 stones and thinking about rolling hard on day 1. Gabriel would be a great fit for Shmi, and I’d love to land Raphael and Ganesha, too. I also have relatively low dupe risk, with only AA Luci, Krishna (2), and Vishnu. I figure AA Luci and Vishnu dupes wouldn’t be terrible — mine are both max skilled so it might be nice to have a dupe for an eventual awoken. Light gala sweetens the pot considerably, with extra chances to roll Raphael/Ganesha, and it’s 4x GFE with two pantheons, which I think is a first for NA. Finally, I’m starting to run out of projects, although this has never been a huge consideration for me.

The only thing that gives me pause is that PCGF is coming soon, and the Wisdom Kings look awesome. With multiple endgame teams already in the fold, would it be better to continue to hoard until I need roll to keep up with the meta, or maybe even think about splurging on a collab/seasonal machine to get a niche card or two? I imagine Ganesha will make PCGF, and possibly Raphael too, but then there will probably be higher dupe risk for PCGF, plus the trend is towards increasing numbers of 6*s in PCGF (5 a year ago, 8 last time), depressing overall value.

Would love to get your thoughts! As always, thanks for all that you do. Sad to hear that you’ll be officially scaling back, but I’m confident that scaled back for you will still be one of the best resources available anywhere.

    • Hey, it’s been a long time!

Considering your box, I think day 1 is a great time to roll. Of all the pantheons where you’re missing 4 or more cards, the Archangels are by far the best. I think you’re correct in your assessment of the dupe risk; I’m particularly hopeful for awoken AA. There’s not much you can do to avoid dupe risk with your box anyways so this is likely one of the better opportunities you’ll get.

As for how much you should roll, that’s the tricky part. I’m actually not sure how good the PCGF will be for you. Excluding the GFEs, the things you don’t have that have a decent chance of making it are Orochi and Ganesha (assuming NA has seen the light) with Raphael being a maybe. So from that respect the PCGF doesn’t seem that great. Like you said, a ton of 6-stars will make it, many of which you don’t have, but how good is that?

I’m not sure what your idea of “rolling hard” is, but I think it’s pretty easy to roll about 85-100 stones on day 1. I think it’s a big commitment for non-IAP to invest more than that in a single godfest, though, so I’d have a hard time recommending rolling more. I do recognize, though, that you’re going to have a hard time navigating dupes going forward so you might as well take this opportunity to roll the things you want. I’d probably try to save a decent stash for the PCGF (like 20-40 stones); even if it is riddled for 6-stars, you’re getting to point where you’re going to want to start picking some of those up anyways and maybe NA will surprise us with another good lineup. Good luck with your rolls!

Oh, I also want to point out that the common thought on gala rates is that they don’t combine with godfest featured rates so Ganesha and Raphael shouldn’t have an rate higher than the godfest featured rate for day 1. I’ve also noticed the gala having a much smaller impact than it used to which coincides with the presumed lower gala rate since the new gala exclusives were introduced (1.5x down from 2x). I also think the past few godfests have had two pantheons at 4x GFE rates (which seems to be the standard now).

Team: Rukia [I&I, A.Isis, Skuld, and a flex paired with a tanky leader (i.e. Ryune)]

    Pad herder: https://www.padherder.com/user/chuchie/monsters/#31,0,31,8191,4294967295_63,0,,0,0,0,eq,0,0,0,0,;default,0

I’ve actually asked for help once earlier this year. Since then there has been some serious changes to the pool of monsters I can invest in. However, I only use one team which is the janky Rukia team above.

Last time, I mentioned that my main goal was to collect a variety of pantheon and gfe monsters since my monster box was cluttered with leaders lacking proper subs and vice versa. Now my focus has shifted to clear special dungeons in order to Uuevo, bankai, or Awoken evolve my current monsters while (accidentally) neglecting other aspects like leveling and skill-ing these monsters.

Realizing this, I would like advice on where I should invest my resources for the present time. I plan to start (+) egging, leveling, and skill-ing a team, but I don’t know where to invest. I think by now, I should have another semi- decent team lurking somewhere in my box, but I will admit that I’m quite overwhelmed by the number of choices.

Is there a specific “all purpose” team that you can pick out from all this clutter for a mid-game player?

Thanks as usual…. and best wishes on that irl adulting stuff you have going on.

    • You’re right, you have a ton of choices. This is a good thing though!

The cards that stick out to me immediately are your Minerva and Ilm, especially since you don’t co-op. This team is about as good as it gets for mindless solo Arena 1 farming. The team is something like Minerva / Tsubaki / Tsubaki / Antares / Ilm / Ilm and you happen to have all of them (there might be an improved team now, I’m not sure). Here’s a vid of Reco using the team: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zje7MYHovZA. Minerva’s awoken materials are relatively relaxed compared to some other cards, too.

If we’re to move on to “real” teams, Gremory appears to be your most powerful choice. Running Gremory / Gremory / Akechi / Akechi / Cecil / Gremory seems pretty good, although personally I’d like more time extends and at least one haste. However, considering you’re lacking a Pandora, your team is pretty good. No awoken materials necessary here and the skill ups outside Cecil are pretty reasonable.

You can also put together a fairly nice Myr team. Myr / Wukong / Saria / June Akechi / ? / Myr. There are plenty of things you can fill in the last sub spot. I’m not sure if this team is better than Gremory, but it could be better if you need more movement time. Although clearing her dungeon could be a pain. If the evo materials are too much, you can leave her in uevo form, at least.

You can also do a Ronove team, like Ronove / DKali / Rozuel / Gainaut / Linthia / Ronove, but this is likely the worst of the three heart-cross options you have and making the farmables could be a pain.

Outside the dreaded heart-cross, you have a variety of other great-but-not-elite options like Artemis-Balboa, Persephone, Vishnu, Durga, Kushinadahime, and Shiva. If you’re interested in any of those, I can elaborate.

Of all those options I’d go Gremory just for the pure power and her being a bit more accessible to you. If time extends are a problem, you might be able to go for a pairing with Myr for her baked-in time extension. Myr isn’t a devil and won’t fully qualify for Gremory’s leader skill, but you still get 6x for the cross and Myr probably wouldn’t do much damage as light- or water-main anyways. Maybe try to land a Pandora or buy a Xin Hua in the future should you go this route.

For farming, I actually really like Cao Cao. Yeah, even for solo. I think he can easily become a good all-around lead for you. You’ll probably want to invest in a Scarlet or 2, but barring that, if you go for the Minerva-Ilm team you can also reuse the Tsubakis here. Then typical subs like Yamato, Urd, and Antares (also overlapping with the Ilm team). You also have good role players such as Laila, Rozuel, Thuban, and Set. This team isn’t going to break the game outside of co-op, but the few times I’ve used it solo on my alt I’ve been pretty happy.

Speaking of Tsubaki, her recent buff was nice, but here’s hoping her split is even better. I’d keep an eye for news on that come Sunday/Monday.

      • I’m not quite sure what I expected, but thanks for such an in depth analysis! It’s much more thorough than I had anticipated.

I’m excited for the potential in using Gremory as I was not initially thrilled to have pulled “her” considering my current position in the game in terms of skill level and available resources.
I think I will invest in Minerva and Gremory teams while keeping close tabs on my fire monsters which have always seemed more multi-purpose.

For curiosity’s sake, what would Durga’s team look like?

Maybe by my next box evaluation, I’ll be confident enough to tackle Myr’s dungeon, the RNG luck to have pulled Pandora, or the funds to consider a MP card purchase.

Side note: I also hope that my RNG tendency for dupes diminishes. I don’t think I can handle another Gadius, Ronia, or even Tsubaki while other cards evade me like the plague. Though if Tsubaki’s split evos are interesting, it could be worthwhile having as many as I have.

        • Just a quick look over, your plausible Durga subs appear to be: Persephone, Lumiel, Castor, Satsuki, DKali, and Ichigo. Of course, devils are preferred. You’ll probably have trouble covering wood, so Goetia would be good for that. Gremory could be useful, too.

Looking to expand my box with value and try new teams/new colors. My main question is, what others potential leaders do I have for the colors other than green? Do I have potential subs already?
What seems like the solo lead with the most potential (besides Myr)?

    • Water is your next strongest element, but considering your have Summer Myr you’re probably already running that team? Missing a Gabriel or Andromeda will certainly make things difficult, but a core of Summer Urd, Sumire and Navi (probably with an Urd inherited) isn’t horrible. I’ve had a lot of success running Hatsume, but she’s better for my alt’s team since I also have Ryune. If running an incomplete team isn’t your thing, Sarasvati is your next best leader option. A core of Mori, Alrescha, Karin, and Hatsume is pretty good. Sumire could probably find her way on the team for some heartmaking. I guess Meimei is solid, too, and can combine with Amon should you need the machine killer.

There’s some limited possibilities for a fire team, too. A revo Shiva team with a Kagutsuchi and Urd core isn’t bad. You could fill out the rest of the team with Leilan, Yamato, Uriel, or Tsubaki until you get something better. Dantalion is also a small possibility since you have 3 offensive heartmakers in Uriel, Yamato, Urd and technically Gadius. Finally, the Tsubaki split ult might open some doors. Assuming she’s still fire and light reliant, you already have Leilan and your best fire orb changers outside Uriel don’t kill light orbs.

If I had to pick a non-Myr lead, it’d probably be Sarasvati. I just like all the options and orb change synergies you have there.

          • Vishnu has always been a great sub and got a nice, albeit small, buff with his uuevo (although if you follow this blog at all you’ll know that I value time extends very highly). The reason he kinda dropped off was the lack of a TPA lead i.e. Bastet getting eclipsed by the meta. He there’s still a lack of a killer wood TPA lead, but he’s fine on all the of the good wood leads (to varying degrees: Kaede, Ronove, Vishnu himself, Kushi, Parvati, etc). I actually like him on Acala even though she doesn’t really use TPAs; the no skyfall clause means all those blobs of skyfalled wood orbs that once overkilled can now be used to generate crosses the next turn.

As a lead, he’s underrated. I like him a lot in that capacity. 1/56.25/2.25 is pretty damned nice, even if you’re required three wood combos to hit it. I guess he doesn’t get as much respect as Krishna since he doesn’t have the same level of tankiness, but wood has so many good TPA subs to stack damage and for the most part Susano or co-op can address the HP deficit. Sadly, he’s really overshadowed by Acala who is both tankier and has a significantly higher damage cap, but I still like him.

  6. Just wanted to stop and say thanks for continuing to do these kinds up write-ups, even though you’re busy with other things. This continues to be my favorite PAD blog. o7

  7. Hey Setsu,

First of all, thanks for all your great content. I hope you see PAD and your contributions as fun distractions to some of the health issues you’re battling. I went through (successful) cancer treatment 7 years ago, and distractions were important to me during the process. Keep your courage up! I’m sending you positive thoughts for healing.

So here’s a distraction for you if you feel up to it:

Non-IAP (except the $4.99 packs) Sitting on 95 stones – I have been hoarding for PCGF.

Rank 320; about 6 months into the game; lots of coop now. Probably more into PAD than I should be.
    😉

    PAD Herder: http://www.padherder.com/user/Brentar84/monsters/

    Goals:
    – Develop a good team to take on late game content.
    – I also want an ALB to complete a farming team.

Up to now, my box development has been clear. Initially, I focused on an aShiva team to get me through early-mid game content. Then I built a nice apanda team for solid mid-game success and lots of coop. I recently put together a decent Australis team to coop with all the ALB players. I can clear all the descends in coop and many in solo – usually with apanda.

Now, I’m at a cross roads. I have Ronove, Gremory, Srivasavsti and Myr (still evoing) in my box. Best I can tell, I lack strong team for any of these leaders with one or two good subs but nothing after that. I’d like to focus on one team, but not sure which one is closest and what to target. I also think I’d enjoy evolving from rows to a heart cross style to keep my skills improving.

Once I know the team to focus on, I’ll have a better sense of when to roll in GF and if I should ever use MP to round out a “perfect team.”

    Your thoughts?

    Best regards,
    Brentar84

    • I’m not addressing any health issues and I sincerely hope I didn’t mislead anyone into thinking I was. I had food poisoning a while ago, but that doesn’t seem to be the level of issue you’re referring to. Maybe you’re confusing me with Mantastic or someone else? Anyways, your sentiment is appreciated and congratulations on beating cancer! I hope you’re continuing to do well.

For the teams you listed, like you said, you’re missing pieces for all of them. The PCGF might actually be quite good for you since I’d like to think subs for those heart-cross teams will be voted in. Akechi and Pandora are almost shoo-ins anyways, but we might even see things like Wukong, DQXQ and Rozuel make it. Not to mention Liu Bei is probably as sure a thing as any other card. So maybe I’d wait for that (about a month maybe?), see if it’s worth rolling and then reevaluating at that time?

I could try to advise you on which might be the best for you right now, but since you’re closer to 2 subs off rather than 1 sub off, I’m not sure if devoting too many resources to any of those teams you mentioned is worth it. If you need some direction for the short term, finishing Gremory should be pretty obvious. Then skilling up your good subs like Perseus, Andromeda, Sanada, etc so when the time comes, you’ll be ready. If you’re getting +eggs and/or MP, maybe save it until the PCGF and you have more information on how to use it. This might not be the kind of advice you were looking for, but I think if can remain patient, it’ll pay off.

Also, considering you have 2 Tsubakis, maybe the split ult which should be revealed in a day or 2 on the JP stream will also have an impact on where you go from here.

  8. Hi there Setsu! First time posting, be gentle ❤

    Rank – 213
IAP status: non-IAP, except for $10 on the two "One-time deals"

Current team(s): I use three teams commonly.
    1) God team – RVerche, LMeta+297, R/L Kagutsuchi, Tsubaki, Andromeda. I pair it with Red Odin or Kanna, typically.
    2) Tsubaki team – Tsubaki, LMeta, Awoken Leilan, Takeminakata, RVerche. Tsubaki friend
    3) Rainbow dragon team – R-ADKZ, R/L Kagustuchi, Blonia, DZombie, Tsubaki. Kanna friend, normally.

I came back into PAD around June 2016 after some years and have been having a blast and have four IRL friends of varying skill level to play with. My best dungeons cleared were Hera, Zeus, and DZombie the week of returning. Now I'm clearing many legends, some mythical, largely through co-op.

I love reading about your alternate non-IAP account threads, the box analysis the most. Would you be willing, on top of telling me if I should roll, help give a short analysis on my box? I want to figure out
    – The next steps that I should be shooting for as a non-IAP. I can't mimic your bi-weekly non-IAP because I don't have Liu Bei.
    – what monsters I should be farming for the sake of making new teams for end-game content.
    – if there is a team I already own to farm those uncompleted dungeons(Zaerog comes to mind) that I haven't noticed yet.
    – if there's anything good to roll on this Godfest with what you see that I have?
    – if there is a better way to format my question for you to handle more easily

If there is a solo team I can make, even better! FYI between my four friends, I typically get Rodin/Nobunaga/Tsubaki/Apocolypse/Izanagi on co-op.

    • I can’t do a full, in depth box analysis, but I can try to help you the best I can.

The first thing to identify are your strong cards. From you PADherder, here’s what I see:

Core: Leilan, Andromeda, Skuld, Sumire, Perseus, Vishnu, Freyja, Artemis, Zuoh, Pandora, Lucifer, Loki
Secondary: Tsubaki, Kagutsuchi, RSonia, BSonia, Orochi, Alrescha, Susano, Ceres, Osiris, LKali, Baal, Hamal, Hanzo
Role player: Famiel, Acubens, Cameo, LMeta, Hades

For non-IAP at rank 213, you have some nice tools to work with. Considering your core, work-around-me cards, I’m leaning toward an Awoken AD Lucifer team to start out. Lucifer / Pandora / Zuoh / Hamal / Loki / Lucifer seems like a good start. Most of these pieces can be used elsewhere. If you get to that point, a Cameo assist skill will be better than Loki. If you pair with Nobunaga, then this team makes sense (just swap out Hamal from something else when doing so).

Another option is a Sumire team. Skuld and Andromeda are a pretty good core, but you don’t have much else. I learned from my Summer Myr experience that the farmables aren’t all that promising; Ilsix is fine, but it’s beyond your teams to farm him at this point.

Some type of wood team would be good, too. You could lead with Awoken Artemis, Awoken Freyja or Vishnu (once he gets his uuevo). Freyja or Vishnu probably being better since Perseus is one of your best wood cards, but doesn’t work on Awoken Artemis. I prefer Vishnu to Freyja and I’d probably run Vishnu / Awoken Artemis / Perseus / Osiris / Freyja / Vishnu with Ceres (probably Ana uuevo) and Susano providing great utility.

The problem I see with your current teams is that they’re all over the place as far as main attribute. For the most part, you want to keep your main attributes the same to maximize your returns from your orb changers. I think the above teams address this.

Personally I’d probably go with Lucifer. Not necessarily because he’s the most powerful — although he’s plenty good — but his subs can be used on an assortment of teams and he’s probably the easiest to find co-op partners for.

For farmables, I don’t really think there’s anything available at your stage of the game that’s worth going after. You can rethink this once you have the ability to farm rogue dungeons. For Zaerog, it’s very difficult and annoying to beat it with a dark team. So maybe for that reason you’ll want to run a different element team. Maybe wood, since Ceres Ana’s killer awakenings destroy Zaerog. Vishnu is also appealing since his time extends can help you get past Zaerog’s first form assuming you don’t have a laser to kill it.

For this godfest, I think there’s some value in rolling day 1. Your only dupe risk is Vishnu who is fairly decent as a dupe. Day 2 also has minimal dupe risk and the Sengoku are quite good, but I’m not sure you can take advantage of the Angels in their current form. I’d strongly consider waiting for a Three Kingdoms godfest. The PCGF has potential to be decent or better for you, too.

No, the formatting was fine. I was considering making some type of format to follow, but just doing whatever has been working out fine so far so I’ll just stick with that.

    • For my main account, no. I’ve basically stopped needing anything for a while so all I really roll for are a handful of cards I don’t need. This usually results in a salt-fest that I’d rather not have permeate in this blog.
