JP Aggregate Leader List

Disclaimer: The aggregate list is an average of the tier lists from multipler JP gaming sites. It is compiled automatically by a script. I endeavor to have as little influence on the results as possible. Feel free to refer to the FAQ. Don’t take these ratings as fact; I encourage you to simply take them as a starting point for discussion to figure out which leads are actually the best for your specific situation.
Two big changes: Game8’s revamp and the addition of Altema. I’m enjoying the addition of Altema, not only because it lessens the need to tweak the algorithm in response to sweeping changes, but they also include a few cards some of the other sites don’t. The addition didn’t make too much of an impact, though, so I take that as a sign that the aggregate is working as intended and that the sites are mostly in agreement. Sure, there are nuanced differences, but in the big picture being in a tier above or below means little.
As there appears to still be confusion behind the method of this post, I threw together a quick FAQ as well.
Anyways, I’m still working on some backend tools so the comments will be kept to a minimum.
JP Aggregate Leader List Changes of Note
New Card Holding Tank
Card | Notes |
For a card so highly rated, it was a bit difficult finding relevant videos. Here’s a fairly impressive Arena 3 clear, proving that NY Yomi has the sustain and firepower to get through Hephaestus Dragon solo. Six combos for a 43.75% shield is a great return considering the ease and consistency of activation. The seven-combo awakening does some massive damage. Here’s hoping revo Yomi is treated even half as well. |

Yamamoto is my favorite lead in the game right now. I’d probably give him an S-grade in hindsight. |

Hey setsu, you said that Yamamoto is your favorite lead right now, was wondering what the context of that was, as in what have you been using him for, as I debate whether or not to roll for him in this last bleach day. Thanks!

Easy farming lead, massive damage for a single row

Mainly for farming and everyday use. Definitely not for endgame stuff. Basically everything you’d use Liu Bei for he does way better.

Is it possible to link the Altema team building layout to the pictures like you do the other sites? I find that information to be the most useful when forming my own opinions on leads and team building.
Also, while I’m glad to see that Altema includes a lot of less recognized leads I can’t help but wonder how Noctis can be considered below Krishna and Acala? I usually consider them to be pretty equal and having different niches. Also, I am legitimately disappointed with no Lakshmi, I mean Paimon and Bacetet but no Lakshmi?
Anyways, I’m very excited to see the expansion of the Aggregate Tier List to other sites and can’t wait to see what else you can do with it.

I’ll look into changing the links.

Oh my goodness that yomi clear <3. Do you think they will make revo yomi that strong too? For other awoken cards that have been rehashed into collabs (Amaterasu, Bastet, ra) they have been almost identical (with the exception of TPA and devil killer for Amaterasu). With yomi being one of the stronger combo leads in her time, and gungho trying to shy away from heart crosses with combo/rainbow shields, I think it's extremely possible that they can replicate revo yomi to her NY counterpart. Thoughts?

I doubt it. At best she’ll either get the 7-combo awakening or the 6-combo shield, but not both. It might be pessimistic to think this, but at this point I’m really just expecting an improved multiplier and whatever awakening.

I’m sad to believe that you are right. The current revos have mostly been multiplier increases with very few straying from that norm. Yomis has issues both with her inability to tank many hits and output higher end damage, so choosing one or the other kinda hurts. I’m just hoping its announced next stream!

What are you running on your Yamamoto team? My only annoyance is that Chad has no SBs, so even a max skill one needs a lot of subs with SB to have him up early enough. Works fine in multi though

Usually some mixture of Yamatos and Tsubakis with Lailas inherited.

Do you think NA will ever get Kinnikuman? I mean that guy is nuts lol, 4/100/4

I wouldn’t bet on it.

Many collabs from JP never make it to NA because of licensing issues. Classic example is DBZ collab
Chances are, if we don’t get a JP collab within a few months after it reaches JP, it probably won’t ever get to NA

I really hope GH does more with combos for multiplier and a small shield outside of just Yomi because it’s so refreshing after so mucheck heart cross but remains comparable in power if even ever so slightly.
Also I agree with you if Revo Yomi gets shafted I’m going to light something on fire. Now I need to pick what will get burned…

I think it’s very likely they’ll continue to use this mechanic in future cards now that there’s already somewhat of a trend in NY Yomi, Fujin, Raijin, and KaworuKali. I’m not so warm to the color match ones, but the combo-based ones have me really interested. I haven’t rolled for a seasonal 8-star in ages, but NY Yomi looks really tempting.

Minor booboo: Balboa is in both the holding tank and the aggregate list.
It’s good to see the aggregate fill out a little more again at the bottom with Altema. I’m curious about Revo Ceres though.

He’s inserted as a leader pair for Artemis. The pair itself won’t move until he leaves the holding tank.

Do you feel like the game8 inherit myr tpa team is optimal?
LikeLike
Optimal for what? I think the one you’re alluding to is an Arena 3 build. Which it certainly performs well in that capacity.

Arena 3/most end game (usually close to synonymous with minor variations)… just didnt want to invest in the inheriting+lvling up and tamas to make it since it looked a little light on heartmakers. Was tempted to replace A. Indra with a second myr or rei myr when she comes
LikeLike
It’s light on heartmakers because you don’t need them. That’s the entire point of the TPA team. You need Indra for SBR if you’re running 2x Ariel and the 75% shield makes the later floors much easier.

Thanks… somehow most of what you are saying seems obvious in hindsight (feeling a little silly). So for trash floors/damage control, you just TPA without the cross?
LikeLike
No… you still have to cross.

Hey Setsu, do I have to have 2x Ariels and Kanna for TPA Myr? would subs with 1-2 tpa’s work as well or I might as well use an optimal row setup?
Thanks!

I’ve been using a row team with Kanna and just playing it as a TPA team, and am liking it a lot better than the row team — you hit just as hard when you spike if you use Kanna, you do way more damage when there are 4 but not 6 light orbs on board, and perhaps most importantly, it’s a lot easier to clear more of the board when you only have to TPA and cross, which means you don’t need to use actives as often.
So I would say, if you just have Kanna, a TPA team is better.
If you don’t have Kanna, then I’m less sure. Two Ariels probably hit similarly hard, but restricts your teambuilding due to the missing SBRs, and I think does less damage on a spike (I’d have to run the numbers to be sure).
If you have only one Ariel, and no Kanna, but optimal row subs, I’d just go with that.

Im confused game8 ranking her lower than typhoon and krishna even after the buffs.

I’m going to say that Aizen is broken and deserves to be as high as he is. Not that it means much, people knew that already, but he’s broken in virtually every single regard. He’s unbindable, creates hearts, has a bind clear, three time extends, easy 144x, unconditional 6x. He’s insane. I’d say he’s my favorite lead to play, not counting obligatory Leilan affection.
It does sadden me slightly that the only reappearance of glass cannon into the meta has to take the form of a collab gold. But it puts a nice wrench in the armada of heart cross leads occupying the top tiers. Expecting broken uuevo next time it’s refreshed 😛
