JP Aggregate Leader List

Disclaimer: The aggregate list is basically a compilation of the leader tier lists from three JP PAD sites: Game8, GameWith and AppMedia. The idea is that while a single tier list can have many points of contention, hopefully an aggregate can kind of smooth things over (it doesn’t, really, but it helps a bit). I try to keep my hands off the results as much as possible; the extent of my involvement is setting the algorithm to aggregate the results. I wish I could be fully hands off, but as none of the lists have 1:1 correlation in their grades, I have to have that much involvement. Don’t take these ratings as fact; I encourage you to simply take them as a starting point for discussion to figure out which leads are actually the best for your specific situation.
There was a fair amount of impactful new cards this week, but I’m going to continue to keep comments to a minimum since I still have some catching up to do. Hopefully things go back to normal next week when GameWith will also have updated their list to reflect the new cards.

Despite not getting a Ra Dragon-level uuevo, Yomi Dragon is still quite good. |

Kind of surprised by the poor Neptune Dragon ranking – his uuevo seems like it’s at least as good as Krishna, and usually better.

Especially with meidionalis as a sub, he can tackle annoying combo shields. And a 100x multiplier with rows is just insane damage.

I’ve seen Neptune x Meridionis leads being thrown around for Arena 2 farming, I’m excited for it. You lose some HP but get better base damage, no skyfalls to screw up sophet, and really good rcv. 2 Neptune actives is overkill anyways.

He should probably be higher. We’ll see what the other sites have to say.

I don’t really get Bastets ranking… I guess she’s just there for her popularity but her gimmick is outdated and her Reincarnated evolution is downright awful. It adds no new value and could’ve been a regular buff. Compared to Kushinada (who at least offers a new plsystyle) she seems rather lackluster, as endgame dungeons force you to bring more utility actives. This also means that you’ll have trouble popping an active every turn.

I don’t sense bias from this post whatsoever.

Hahaha it’s obvious that Kushi is my Waifu (look at my name) but let’s be honest. The reicarnated Evolutions so far are far from innovative and Bastet is no exception.

You’re right, but buffs are buffs. Whether you want to pay the price for them is up to the player.
Now that we’ve seen a few of them, it’s pretty obvious revos weren’t intended to be innovative, but just to give some new life to dead cards. Design space in PAD is so limited anyways that we can’t really expect them to get creative with everything; they’ve got to save new mechanics for brand new cards to keep people rolling.

It looks like Noctis landed an AA ranking from Game8 — looks like you may be missing that ranking

Hmm good catch. I’ll fix it, thanks!

It looks like you have the wrong Ichigo ult in the new card holding tank / game8 rankings.

You’re right, I’ll try and remember to fix it when I get home tonight. Thanks!

Setsu, why is myr such a good leader? I mean her multiplier compared to everyone else’s seems quite low. 7.7 where ra dragon and neptune dragon and kinnikuman have multipliers that are borderline insane. What makes myr top tier? I’m wondering whether I should farm her or not… even then, I don’t know a good team to do it with. Finally, How did you farm Myr?
Thx.

You can’t just look at raw multipliers when evaluating a leader. I think the defensive power of the heart-cross speaks for itself. I used Liu Bei to farm Myr.

It’s because the heart cross ability makes it really hard to die, and you can stack rows to boost your damage beyond what that 7.7x seems like.
The best team to farm her dungeon with is probably ALB, but there are guides to using Dios and other Wood row leads as well. I think A Lucifer is supposed to be pretty good, although there might be better leads at this point, but the appeal to ALB/Dios is that it’s fast and only requires attention on a few floors.
I personally farmed the easier difficulty with ALB – I gave up a bunch of MP from predra floors, but it gave me a bit more leeway in subs/inherits (also my friend didn’t have a Ra to inherit). There are lots of guides, but in short you’ll need a multi-turn damage void (Thanatos ideally) to deal with Myr’s first few turns until her shield goes away, and the ability to make 5 combos against Pulseneedle (most people use Avalon Drake or similar). Wee Jas has a 75% damage shield, so you usually want a Dragon Killer as well. During a 4x event you can probably skill your Myr in a single day.
Also you only need to evo her once to get started with her (I still haven’t made her second evo since the mats are a pain in the ass and I’m lazy, plus I think she’s cuter in this form, and I’ve cleared plenty of stuff).

I suppose Tifa and Xiu Min have floundered their chance to make the tier lists

Why do you think Sumire is ranked a bit low in some of the lists? I know that the 5o1e doesn’t allow for TPA or rows, but her multiplier is still pretty decent and her leader skill allows for a bit more flexibility and damage control that Myr. Sumire deserves love damnit.
LikeLike
Damage is most certainly the issue. In addition to the match-five not stacking with rows and TPAs, Sumire does very low damage herself. In a game where you’re trying to kill Radar Dragons, damage in the low millions per sub isn’t good enough.

What do you think is keeping some tier lists from rating lakshmi the same tier as parvati. While for one it could be game8s A tier system, it doesn’t explain their perplexing rating of HGran over Roots?
LikeLike
Yeah, I suddenly noticed they removed Lakshmi myself
I suppose being unbindable is a pretty big perk, as well as access to Kaede and other monstrosities in her sub pool
Although I still think Lakshmi is better personally because of higher HP teams overall and better row synergy. And also personal bias.

I think you got it right on, being unbindable is probably the difference maker, especially with a leader skill that can be triggered by clearing binds. Also leader active skills… not sure which I prefer, but I would lean toward parvati. Changing water->heart should produce more heart orbs on average than just the 4 that parvati spawns. More orbs than 4 if you don’t combo out non-damage colors regularly.
I don’t have hard data to back this part up, just a gut feeling, but I also feel like Wood has a better selection of orb changers that produce heart orbs. As well as the leaderskill being a bit hard to use to make a row of hearts plus a row of damage orbs(and other combos) on a consistent basis. Squeezing in a TPA, a row of hearts, and other combos is just a lot easier on regular basis.
All that said, for a good combo’er, these hurdles are probably less a factor than being unbindable and the active skill difference.

Yeah, I had to make manual changes to fix the icon and fucked that up, I’ll just let that fix itself with the next list.

I don’t know personally, but I hear 2% was mid 121k, like 121.5 or 121.8 or something. Sorry, don’t know for sure.

What are your thoughts on Aizen? He might arguably be the easiest 576x lead right now, do you think he deserves to be somewhere up there?
LikeLike
Pretty strong. I feel like he’s a bit underrated, but then again it’s really, really hard to break into the top couple of tiers so I guess his current place on Game8 is about right. I think pairing the flat 36x for trash with the 576x burst makes for a very consistent team. I’ll do a bit more research on him for the next tier list post.
