Two big changes: Game8’s revamp and the addition of Altema. I’m enjoying the addition of Altema, not only because it lessens the need to tweak the algorithm in response to sweeping changes, but they also include a few cards some of the other sites don’t. The addition didn’t make too much of an impact, though, so I take that as a sign that the aggregate is working as intended and that the sites are mostly in agreement. Sure, there are nuanced differences, but in the big picture being in a tier above or below means little.

As there appears to still be confusion behind the method of this post, I threw together a quick FAQ as well.

Anyways, I’m still working on some backend tools so the comments will be kept to a minimum.

	Change: Added to ❀ Perhaps the most amusing thing is that his sub split is generally considered the better leader. 6x vs 7x is no small difference, but the sub version’s bind immunity and utility makes him a bit more appealing, especially in Arena where there are a couple wood binds (Kraken and Apollo).

Here’s a fairly impressive Arena 3 clear, proving that NY Yomi has the sustain and firepower to get through Hephaestus Dragon solo. Six combos for a 43.75% shield is a great return considering the ease and consistency of activation. The seven-combo awakening does some massive damage. Here’s hoping revo Yomi is treated even half as well.

	Change: 3➞2 AppMedia bumped up their rating which moved Aizen into elite company at tier-2. He’s the only card there that doesn’t modify HP (through multiplier or shield). I think that says a lot towards the returns you get on his ridiculously easy activation, from easy trash clearing to burst that doesn’t require an enhance. I still haven’t played with him much, but of what I have, I can say he’s pretty busted. Perhaps this is the face of the new “glass cannon” along with Yomi Dragon; sure, they have RCV multipliers, but this is probably as close as we’re going to get, at least among the top tiers.

	Ranked Sites: AppMedia (S+) This is really the only interesting change this update. It’s easy to dismiss New Year’s Kanna since Myr appears to be better in almost every way (higher multiplier, no type restriction, etc.), but since AppMedia gave her such an ambitious ranking (their third highest tier) I decided to take a closer look. What stood out to me the most was her ability to attack and heal without relying on a heart-cross. She’s still a 1/16/2.25 leader without a cross which, coupled with her TPAs, is usually enough to deal with trash floors. I’ve lauded Myr’s TPA team for being so orb efficient, but NY Kanna is arguably even more so; at the very least she’s much more flexible. She’s also much better at stalling for actives with the static RCV multiplier. Her top-end multiplier (36x) will definitely limit her, but a Jewel Princess of some kind should address most issues. I think her flexibility makes her a legit leader. Should she be as high as AppMedia places her? I don’t know about that, but I’m definitely curious if she’ll eventually show up on the other lists.

Change: 1➞2 RIP Kaede. A while ago people were wondering when the heart-cross leads would begin to falter. It would appear that time is now. Game8’s reasoning for their downgrade is the ease — or lack thereof — of hitting her upper damage potential. Where I’m assuming Ra Dragon (partially agree) and Myr (agree) do not have said difficulty. I still think Kaede is better than the rest of the tier she now occupies, but I can’t deny that she isn’t as good as Ra Dragon or Myr.

	Ranked Sites: Game8 (AA) I haven’t had time to research Rei or Kaworu, but just looking at Rei’s leader skill, while the multipliers are impressive, it appears the lack of consistency will prevent her from ranking higher. The somewhat awkward active doesn’t help, either.
	Ranked Sites: Game8 (AA) Kaworu seems to be fine in the damage department, but his effective HP pool being limited to turns of leader skill activation will limit his consistency. Team building also seems to be a bit difficult, being in a similar position as Ra Dragon a year ago where you have to find a place to squeeze in a double SBR sub within the type and color requirements. However, unlike Ra Dragon, Kaworu isn’t as worth the effort since there are strong alternatives.
	Ranked Sites: Game8 (A), GameWith (A), AppMedia (S+) It appears my original assessment of her being on par with her dark form was correct, although it didn’t take a genius to come to that conclusion. It looks like GungHo is reconsidering the Gremory buffs, though, but I still wonder if it’ll be enough to reverse her fall.

I delayed the post in hopes of snagging some Christmas updates. Only GameWith did, but they were major, the most outstanding being Ra Dragon claiming the top tier for himself. I’m not sure if the other lists will follow suit, but it’s hard to deny that Ra Dragon is once again a powerhouse.

	Change: ❀➞3 At first, I underestimated and underrated revo Minerva. Never was a fan of resist-based teams. Although I did concede that if she proved proficient enough at farming specific dungeons, that would warrant her inclusion on the tier lists. Well, that appears to be the case and to a certain degree I’m convinced. She may not be the fastest at farming the Arenas, but she’s extremely reliable and has very low team requirements to get started.
	Change: Added to 3 Bleach is coming to NA, and unexpectedly soon. Can’t wait.
	Change: Added to 3 Hopefully this doesn’t start a trend of GungHo selling top-tier leads as promotions for their other games, but I fear that’s the case and it seems likely that the much talked about fire Myr will follow suit. I was very, very tempted to buy this card for my non-IAP JP alt, but I resisted the urge. I regret it now. Here’s hoping we’re able to get these cards somehow on NA, but it seems unlikely.
	Change: Added to 3 I feel that Yomi Dragon is a bit underrated. She’s no Ra Dragon, but the inheritance skill bonus has gone a long way towards addressing her main weakness and Ulquiorra gives her an impressive burst.

Just got back from my trip. Times like this really make me happy I invested the time I did into these scripts.

Still debating whether I’m going to put out a FF Collab review. I usually put in a week or so of prep into each review (which isn’t as impressive as it might sound; basically just randomly thinking about cards, watching videos of them and catching a few tidbits here and there via word of mouth) to make sure I have most of my bases covered so I’m not very motivated to start from nothing. If anything, the exercise of going over each card is good for me, so I may just do it just for that. I wouldn’t expect anything before the end of the week.

I also plan to go back and reply to most/all of the comments that were made in the past week (hopefully tomorrow, but there’s a lot that needs to be done).

One last thing. I finally removed Pad-Plus. The data they now publish is simply too outdated to be of use.

I’m on vacation for the next week. Almost forgot to do this before I left. The next ranking list will also likely be delayed a day or two.

Not sure I’ll get a REM review for FF out on time, either, assuming that it hits NA next week. Bad timing. I’ll likely have a decent amount of downtime since I anticipate it’ll be more of a relax-and-do-nothing trip rather than a run-around-and-do-touristy-type-things trip, but I’m most likely to spend any free time sleeping or playing bad weeb games. We’ll see.

I’m strongly considering removing Pad-Plus. They simply don’t update their popularity list frequently enough to be useful anymore. I kinda wish I could use PadGuide’s popularity list, but I’d have to do some digging to find out a way to scrape that data, if it’s even possible to do in a safe manner. If anyone has any leads, I’m all ears.

The only big change of note was Game8’s promotion of Ra Dragon to their highest tier, SS.

	Ranked Sites: Game8 Co-op (S), GameWith Farming (A), AppMedia (S) Meridionalis (Meri?) is the next big farming lead, often referred to as blue ALB. She won’t catch on like Liu Bei, though, as a reliance on BOdins and Toshiros and such puts her most efficient teams out of the reach of almost everyone. She has plenty of deficiencies, namely SBR problems, bind vulnerability and only a single skill boost, but her no skyfall buff more than makes up for all of them. One of Liu Bei’s few drawbacks is time lost due to skyfall and Meri guarantees your full boards will only combo once. My wallet is dreading the Heroine REM, but I’m looking forward to farming with her.
