This is a help thread, so please feel free to ask questions on just about anything concerning the godfest or your teams, box and progress in general.

My vacation may be over, but I still have work. Looking to answer about 10 in-depth advice questions overall.

Please read the rules before posting, especially if this is your first time:

  • I will only take box questions that supply a PADherder. It makes it much, much easier for me to give good advice this way (you could say I can’t give good advice without the sorting options). Try PadListener to sync if you’re on Android (if it works for you), otherwise use this method.
  • Box/roll questions that don’t supply rank, IAP status and main teams will be ignored. Any other information you want to supply will only help.
  • Please check the FAQ after the break before asking a question. Questions that aren’t covered by the FAQ will be prioritized; questions that don’t may be ignored.
  • I have WordPress set to flag comments with multiple links to combat spam. I still get the comment, I just have to approve it manually for it to show up on the site. So if your comment doesn’t show up, this might be the case. Ideally, only post a single link to your PADherder.
  • I generally reply on a first come, first serve basis, but if there’s a low hanging fruit I’ll address that first.
  • I will post thread status as bold red comments. Make sure you read these comments before posting to make sure you aren’t violating the rules. I’m no longer segregating comments by day, instead I’ll indicate how many questions I be able to take for a given thread in the first status comment, then stop taking new ones after that.
  • No new questions will be taken after the godfest ends. Questions asked in other posts may be ignored; please wait for the next godfest!
  • Follow-ups to existing questions will be taken as long as the post is still open for comments.
  • I’ll close the post for comments a few hours after the godfest ends.
  • Any comments breaking the rules will be removed without warning.

Yawn. Coming off the PCGF, there probably aren’t too many people that have ammunition left for this godfest. I’m not sure why GungHo is so desperate to push both Constellation pantheons, but they’re doing their best here by pairing them with two of best overall pantheons in the game.

Anyways, here are the rules:

  • I will only take box questions that supply a PADherder. It makes it much, much easier for me to give good advice this way (you could say I can’t give good advice without the sorting options). Try PadListener to sync if you’re on Android (if it works for you), otherwise use this method.

  • I will post a comment in bold red when I stop taking questions for the day or end the post altogether. Please look for and respect these cutoffs before posting! I’ll allow questions after the day 1 cutoff to queue up for the next day, but no new questions will be taken after the day 2 cutoff.

This abrupt godfest is eating into my precious Tree of Savior time. I wouldn’t expect the same quality of responses as I have in the past and I imagine I’ll close out each day much earlier than usual, so get your questions in while you can. Anyways, here are the rules:

There’s a few important things to note about this godfest review. First, GFEs are at 4x and pantheons are only at 2x; they are both usually at 3x. Additionally, all GFEs are available both days. This actually creates a bit of tension. Even though the bonus is boosted, there is an increased selection of GFEs which dilutes the pool. I don’t know exactly how these two things interact with each other, but I can’t imagine that 4x is a good as it sounds. It’s the largest boost any region has seen so far, though, so if you’re looking for GFEs then this is the time to roll. It follows that those that just want the pantheon gods should probably sit out. The pantheon rate is already pretty bad at 3x so you’re only doing yourself a disservice rolling during 2x.

Second, both days feature the new Sengoku gods. This doesn’t mean much for non- or light-IAPers, but it’s a nice bonus for heavy-IAPers. The Sengoku are quite good for not having uevos, but outside very niche uses — like Sanada on Shiva Dragon or Akechi on Typhon — they won’t see much use. However, this is a good opportunity for heavy-IAPers that are chasing certain 6-stars like ROdin or DKali to get some rolls that aren’t dupes. Sure, nowadays MP is MP, but someday the Sengoku will get their uevos so if all you’re chasing are GFEs it wouldn’t hurt to get some of them in the process. Think of it as a nice little bonus value.

Finally, I want to talk about the grades. I based my grades on the normal distribution with an average grade being a B. As more monsters converge in power level due to upgrades, the more that fall under B grades. I just want to say that a B grade is in no way bad, this is just how my rating system works; as there are less bad cards the great cards stand out less as the ratings converge to the mean.

NA giving a decent notice for a godfest? What’s next? Free pys? (pls gungho)

The NA meta has shifted significantly in the past month or so with the awoken Egyptians and Indians, making a clear distinction between the very best leaders and everything else. This basically means any leaders outside those two pantheons and GFEs are fairly irrelevant.

This puts day 1’s Indian 2 pantheon in a strange place as it’s mostly a leader-only pantheon. They’re still capable, but if you’re looking for an elite leader you’re better off waiting. The Chinese pantheon is as great as it’s always been. I can confirm from firsthand experience that Meimei is amazing and I expect her sisters to perform just as well. This is not a bad day to roll, but I’m always wary of Indian 2, even after their upgrades.

Day 2, on the other had, is quite easy to classify as they’re basically all subs. The Heroes are still respectable leads, but have largely been eclipsed by power creep. The Greek gods are in the process of getting their split uevos. They’ve been quite good so far, but they’re overshadowed by the awoken uevo hype. If you need any of these gods, this is a great day to roll as all of them can fit on a multitude of teams.

Godfest: Greco-Roman 1 & 2 4/30, Chinese & Indian 2 5/1

Day 1 is a pretty nice day for subs. All the Greco-Romans have awoken uevos and the Greeks are useful on just about any mono-color team and several rainbow ones. The Greco-Romans are also nice leads for cheesing certain dungeons.

Day 2 is more of a mixed bag as the Chinese are mostly great subs, but Indian 2 are only leads. The pantheons don’t work particularly well together, either. I’d imagine many will lay waste to their stone count chasing Haku, though. For good measure, the dark gala ends the day before.

My new rating system is almost complete, but it likely won’t be ready before this godfest. In the meantime here are the old, outdated reviews: Greco-Roman (B-) | Greek (C+) | Chinese (A) | Indian 2 (B). I’d probably give Greco-Roman a B+ and Indian 2 a C+.

Pantheon Review – Greek

Review outdated as of 4/30/15. Updated ratings will be released each NA godfest.
The Greek pantheon is made up of powerful orb changers, but are currently overshadowed by the Chinese full-board orb change and their superior awakenings and leader skills. To be honest, that sums up this pantheon fairly well, but we’ll go through the motions anyways.
